I keep startling myself whenever I walk into my kitchen and see all these shiny new appliances. And I’m like, “Oh yeah, the appliance fairy landed!”

Seriously, it’s been surreal being part of the lovely Maytag Moms team! Let me tell you a bit more about my refrigerator – the hub of the kitchen. (I’m always rummaging in it for a snack, and I don’t have pregnancy as an excuse anymore!).

On the outside, we have the bold new look of stainless steel, bringing our kitchen area into a more contemporary look.

I’m keeping the front face cleaner, relegating magnets and to-do’s, calendars and love notes to the sides so all we see walking in the door is gleaming silver!

I didn’t think one fridge could be much different than the next. But then… open up the doors, and I notice little things… Like the at-a-glance see-through crisper drawers, where I can spot if we’re out of our favorite snack – clementine oranges. Or note if we have salad to go with our dinner.

Little things like the gallon door bins that are separately adjustable, so we can store our elegant glass water bottles on one side! Or the way the door shelving is deeper, so tall bottles of dressing and ketchup don’t jangle and tumble when the door is opened.

Even the way I organize is different these days. Sort of like my whole day runs top to bottom in my new fridge!

  • Beverages on the door – water, some juice, local sodas, and our new favorite almond-coconut milk!
  • Breakfast and snack items handy on the top shelf – bagels, hummus, cottage cheese.
  • Breads and leftovers in the middle shelf (I’m not a huge leftover fan so these usually go to work with hubby!).
  • Longer storage and dinner prep on the bottom. There’s room for a pan of marinating chicken or salmon, a large box of organic salad, or a freezer meal pulled out to thaw.

Right now I have the top two shelves level with each other, but I could adjust the top two levels to have split-level shelving if I needed more head-space.

I’m still getting used to the pull-out bottom freezer drawer. I miss my shelf on the door where I would store my ice packs and quick treats.

But it took only seconds to begin a life-long dependence on the automatic ice maker! Never had one of those before, and now I don’t know how I could live without it!!

Dependable means – I know where everything goes and how it fits into my daily life and routine. That’s my Maytag refrigerator for ya!

What’s in your fridge? Do you have a special organizational system?

I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Kitchen Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with a Maytag kitchen appliances set, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and range hood to facilitate my post.

NO WAY!!! Until I saw this post, I totally forgot you were blessed with all these amazing kitchen appliances! We just bought our first home a few months ago and while the stove and fridge (totally not this cool, though) are both fairly new, the dishwasher is definitely going to need to be replaced soon… Maytag is top of my list for a new one! :)

Our fridge design is very similar although, somehow yours seems bigger. We are tiring of the drawer freezer but we do use the ice component more than we ever did in our other types of fridge/freezers.

    So very cool!

Love the crisper drawers! And yes – you will now be addicted to ice and can never go back! :)

My fridge is organized too. For example, the 8 gallons of milk we use each week go on the bottom shelf which means I will probably never be able to get a pretty fridge like yours or one of the french door style.
