This event is brought you by our exclusive event sponsor: A Mother’s Boutique!

When I knew I’d be mid-pregnancy at Easter this year, I got concerned because I like to get a new dress for Easter. Not only to celebrate such a special Sunday, but also because it’s nice to have a new dress for the rest of the spring/summer season! (What can I say, I have a little girly-girl in me!).

I thought I’d have a hard time finding a springtime dress I liked in a maternity fashion, but fortunately I discovered Mothers en Vogue! For Easter, I wore their lovely plum Tulle Maxi Dress with a fitted empire bust and slight A-line silhouette (from their X.tended). Look how well it fits with my 5+ month baby bump underneath! There’s a neckline access that will make for easy breastfeeding later this summer. And the tiered tulle detailing give this dress extra “fancy” for church and other occassions (although I admit the tulle was a wee bit scratchy, it’s still an eye-catching feature!).

Mothers en Vogue clothing is designed for the many body changes we go through as mothers, from pregnancy to breastfeeding and beyond. MEV is committed to comfort, fashion, quality, and natural fabrics! I love the earthy tones used in many of their styles, and the cottons, modals, and bamboo fabrics are perfect draping fabrics for maternity wear.

I love the phrase MEV uses to describe mothers as “women in blossom.” So true – mothers go through so many life changes, yet still keep up with our committments to family, jobs, and our own lives! And yes, we’d like to look stylish and comfortable while we do it!

In addition to their great maternity clothing, nursing camis, and even Mom & Tot sets, MEV has the amazing X.tended line of clothing. X.tended helps mothers achieve an effortlessly fashionable look through these yo-yo times, since it’s maternity wear that doubles as nursing and post-partum clothing. No need to change your entire wardrobe because the x.Tended line has a range of dresses, tops and wraps to help you transition right through! Another perk is the X.tended line is great for moms who are nursing while pregnant, because it has the fullness for your belly and the nursing openings for breastfeeding!

BUY IT: You’ll love the full line of Mothers en Vogue maternity / nursing wear available on their website, or at select retailers like my Exclusive Event Sponsor A Mother’s Boutique!

I am usually a jeans and t shirt girl when it comes to maternity clothes, i just want something comfy, this dress looks very comfy!

  • Christy Johnson April 26, 2012, 2:21 pm

For my maternity style I try to stick with the clothes I wore pre-pregnancy until I absolutely can’t fit in them. I prefer simple tanks and t-shirts paired with cute jeans and flats.

I love the way that they understand that being pregnant does not mean not wanting to look sexy. I also love how they have styles for mom and daughter as well.

  • Grace Nakamoto April 24, 2012, 6:49 pm

I’ve not been pregnant (well, showing) in the summertime before. I’m looking forward to checking out what’s available in short-sleeves and shorts. I’m pretty warm, even when I’m not pregnant, so I’ll be looking for light, airy clothes that breathe well. :-)

  • Stephanie Klemm April 24, 2012, 5:08 pm

My maternity style is large and comfy :) Next time around I want to get some basic maternity tanks and some pretty skirts/dresses!

  • Stephanie April 22, 2012, 11:18 pm

Thanks so much for the introduction to Mothers en Vogue. I particularly appreciate that the clothes can be used for nursing and postpartum too! I just had a baby a week ago and only have about two outfits that fit! Eeek!

I like the look of the Alessandra Skirt. I wonder if it would work for this “in-between” postpartum stage too?

  • Beth R April 22, 2012, 2:59 pm

I have a hard time finding what I like. I don’t like super girly, flowers on everything or bows and have a hard time finding things that not super girly. They look like they have a great selection

  • Tiffany F April 20, 2012, 7:07 pm

I have never tried their stuff i sadly cannot afford to, pretty much any maternity style cloths i cannot afford, i mostly just wear my lounging clothes ALL the time.

  • gina April 20, 2012, 1:56 pm

I love that their tops are long & drapey without being old & frumpy.

  • Marie April 20, 2012, 7:51 am

I love their tops and dresses! They are fitted and very classic looking. I have had a hard time finding bottoms that fit comfortably… so dresses have been my savior. :-)

  • Sarah Hull April 19, 2012, 10:45 pm

I like the Florica Trapeze Tunic. My maternity style is comfy, yet I try to still look trendy. I usually wear pants and shirts, but sometimes I like to wear skirts and dresses too. Sometimes it is hard to find what I like to wear, because I tend to like things that are more expensive, but I don’t have the budget for that. I don’t like to buy clothes are too cheap though, since they rarely last. Finding a happy medium can be hard!

  • Aisha Holley April 18, 2012, 9:33 am

It was hard to find stylish maternity clothes. Mothers En Vogue have really stylish dresses and clothes. I love the Coco Ono Cocoon dress!

  • Jeniffer Smith April 17, 2012, 12:29 pm

I love finding tops that can be used throughout most of the pregnancy and then again after baby is born. It’s definitely a bonus! Several of the MEV nursing tops could easily be used as maternity tops and will also help hide the post partum baby bulge. ;)

  • fancygrlnancy (Nancy partin) April 16, 2012, 12:24 am

I like the Jersey Gathered Crop Pant
it is hard to find good summer pants

  • Trisha W. April 15, 2012, 4:50 pm

I’m entering for a family member who is expecting, but I love maternity skirts. They are so comfy and they make going to the bathroom a very speedy process. ;) I also like the more form fitting shirts as opposed to the older ones that were more mu-mu (sp?) style.

  • Jess A Pearce April 14, 2012, 11:21 am

    Love the pretty nursing tops~

  • Leah Baird April 14, 2012, 10:04 am

I like the Coco Ono Cocoon is looks like it is extra comfortable, i love that they have styles of clothing for all women.

  • *°•ƸӜƷ Louis ƸӜƷ•°* April 13, 2012, 2:58 pm

a maternity dress must be comfortable. That’s what I look most in it. But I also don’t want to be dressed in a sack, so added detail and color is a must too

  • LaTanya April 13, 2012, 6:46 am

I like the Zahra Applique Tunic. I like to casual at certain times and then more fashionable or dressy at other times.

  • Jan messali April 12, 2012, 10:50 pm

I found that Mothers En Vogue also has gorgeous nursing tops. I especially like the Soft Slub Ruffle Tee .

  • Katrina April 12, 2012, 10:40 pm

I just look for things that are comfortable. Though I like to look fashionable too!

  • steph April 12, 2012, 9:49 pm

its tough to find things that i think look “young” (mid twenties) and not dated! i love petite-fitting maxi dresses.

  • Amanda Alvarado April 12, 2012, 9:21 pm

I love their maxi dresses (I won’t wear a short dress unless I have leggings!)! They look cool and comfortable in all the styles. I absolutely love the one you are wearing in the pic! You look gorgeous!

  • melissa pruitt April 12, 2012, 8:29 pm

    im into comfy maternity style!

  • Anne E. Perry April 12, 2012, 5:09 pm

I love the Roxette Tie-Back Tunic!! I think the maternity clothes at target & motherhood maternity are a little frumpy…

  • Alba Garza April 12, 2012, 4:41 pm

I am at that stage in life when I refuse to think I am in my 30s wishing I was in my 20s style.

  • Kristi P April 12, 2012, 3:47 pm

I love everything about Mothers en Vogue. It is all so stylish, yet looks like quality pieces and none scream maternity. I had a hard time finding pieces that didn’t look cheap and were stylish.

  • Melissa H. April 12, 2012, 2:54 pm

I’m a big fan of laid-back, comfy maternity style. :) I love their Getaway Maxi Dress!

  • Erin April 12, 2012, 1:00 pm

    Another gorgeous photo of you!

I love these clothes…ESP the nursing aspect. I think the bamboo wrap looks fantastically useful and comfortable!

  • rebecca April 12, 2012, 12:53 pm

Its hard to find maternity clothes that are cute and affordable. I love all the dresses on the site!

  • Ashley T April 12, 2012, 12:25 pm

It is so hard to find cute maternity clothes! Now that I am in my third trimester with twins, a lot of the clothes I find don’t even fit over my belly, lol!

  • ColleenMarie82 April 12, 2012, 12:20 pm

I love the dress you are wearing. I also really like the Tara Dress. I always seem to have a hard time buying maternity bottoms, they just never seem to fit right.

  • Carrie April 12, 2012, 10:37 am

I love their clothes! They are unique and beautiful. My tastes are pretty simple. I am a stay-at-home mom now, so I don’t need a lot of dressy things, just a few for church. It is difficult to find affordable maternity clothes for my needs.

  • Jen Breedlove April 12, 2012, 10:32 am

I love the dress you got! I just had to get a fancy dress for my brother’s wedding that is similar, but black. And it didn’t have the fancy tulle on the bottom :) But I love anything that I can wear for maternity and nursing…because all together, that’s a chunk of at least 2 years of wear!

  • Kim Jones April 12, 2012, 9:52 am

I try to stick with maternity clothes that I could where even when I am not pregnant. No sense in wasting money on something if you aren’t going to where it for a long time!

  • Susan L. M. April 12, 2012, 5:57 am

Their shirts look fashionable and comfy! I like that some of their tops look appropriate for “business casual” to wear from work, but others like the Essential tank and tee look good for around the house/weekends. I feel like I am too short to wear some of the bigger/loser dresses, but the shirts look great!

  • Elizabeth onofre April 12, 2012, 2:44 am

Wish I had heard of this earlier, would have been nice to have things for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Still anything to help breastfeeding doesn’t hurt

  • Leanne M April 12, 2012, 1:02 am

I like that their tops seem longer. I am pretty tall so a lot of the tops out there are too short for me
