Fashionable for Fall with DownEast Basics

I am always wanting to “revamp” my wardrobe. But … nobody is surprising me in the mall with a $5,000 credit card and two days of shopping in the city (you know what popular duo I’m talking about?), so I have to piecemeal my clothing updates when I find good deals. I think I’ve found just the place to shop: DownEast Basics!

I’d never heard of this brand because their store locations are all out west. They need to come east! I would love a closet full of their clothing!

Stylish items at great prices (like skirts from $32-45). Boutique pieces with fabulous detailing. I love the modest, higher-cut tops (they still look so pretty without showing your navel!).

This fall’s fashions at DownEast seem to feature a lot of cute stripes, applique, and asymetrical styling – all things I love! Here’s a little outfit I’d love to try:

DownEast sent me the dressy Intermission Skirt – I’d been wanting a new “something” for church and this was perfect. I went pretty casual while I was pregnant, so it was fun to dress up in something new and shiny! It fits great (will fit better when I lose these last ten pounds from the baby!), and the chiffon / satin stripes make it FUN!

The skirt is asymetrical and has chic layering at the waistband… lightweight and a great texture, this is a fab skirt to go out in!

One thing not apparent from their site (or mine) is this skirt is actually a deep navy blue (I thought it was black!). I love it! I would not have ordinarily bought a navy blue skirt, so when it arrived I was surprised, but then I thought “why not?” – time to try something new. I’ve been reading how jewel tones are the new colors for fall!

BUY IT: I’m going to be keeping my eye on DownEast Basics’ fashionable women’s clothing because their styles are trendy, and their sales are amazing (tops and skirts $5-7!?). It’s a great place to stock up on some exciting new pieces for your wardrobe! And they even have some very inexpensive home decor!
