Seriously, I love baby food. I mean, not eating it. Well, sometimes. Depends. Fruit purees are yummy.

While I love to make my own baby food, because I know exactly what’s in it, and it’s fresh, I also sometimes need a travel or on-the-go option.

I favor puree pouches with spouts babies can sip from. Like Peter Rabbit Organics healthy, organic snack pouches for busy families! Have you seen these in Starbucks? (One of the FEW restaurants that offer something for baby AND mommy! But I digress…).

My son is adept at getting most of the food out without help. These pouches are handy for a quick meal or snack on the go without the fuss of high chair, spoons, etc. You don’t even have to refrigerate these before using, and you can use part of the pouch and reseal it with the twist on/off cap!

I love the ingredients! So simple. Whatever you see on the front is what’s inside. That’s it! 100% organic fruit and vegetables! Each serving is high in vitamin C, between 70 and 85 calories, 0 fat, and 1.5-2 grams of fiber.Check out the great flavor combos:

  • Apple and Peach
  • Strawberry and Banana
  • Apple and Grape
  • Mango, Banana and Orange
  • Sweet Potato, Corn and Apple
  • Carrot, Squash and Apple
  • Pea, Spinach and Apple

It’s so important to get babies to try new foods while they are young. I read that babies often need to be offered a new food fifteen TIMES before they might like the flavor. (of course, many of the sweet foods they like right away!).

Now, my son will NEVER eat spinach when I steam/puree it myself – I think I have maxed out the fifteen tries rule at this point. But he gobbled up the Pea, Spinach and Apple tonight at dinner. I DID squeeze it out of the pouch for him and mixed it with some cooked quinoa flakes to give him some protein. So these pouches are really versatile – mix with oatmeal, yogurt, or small cereal for a chewier meal!

We tried them all out except the Apple and Peach… the flavors come through vividly. These are going to be PERFECT for our upcoming camping trip!

My son LOVES these kinds of pouches. We haven’t tried Peter Rabbit yet, so it would be so nice to try a new kind!! I’m sure he gets sick of the same flavors all the time!

    they look really healthy

  • nicole parsons July 25, 2011, 12:43 pm

My daughter love these pouches of food. Her favorite is the strawberry and banana. Plus its organic and healthy

  • Heather R July 25, 2011, 12:36 pm

It will be interesting to see if they like the Carrot, Squash and Apple. It would be a great way to add vegetables to their diet even when we are on the go!

  • elka July 25, 2011, 10:59 am

I think we’d all enjoy the Strawberry and Banana, these are convenient too for on the go

  • Nick Hilleshiem July 25, 2011, 9:49 am

I like the idea of the pouches. It will be easy to grab on the go!

  • Gianna July 25, 2011, 9:16 am

They look so good everyone would eat them!

  • susan smoaks July 25, 2011, 8:56 am

i really think our daughter would love these!

  • Laura Emerson July 25, 2011, 4:16 am

I have to admit that I have never seen these pouches before but I love the idea of them. I especially like that they are 100% organic as I have been trying to feed my 2 year old the healthiest foods I can find. I too have tried to puree just about everything but no matter what I do my daughter just looks at me then at the food and gets that “aw mommy look. These look like something my daughter would actually eat and love.

  • april bever July 24, 2011, 8:17 pm

My daughter loves these, she prefers them over any of her other juices I try to feed her and they are more healthy for her

  • shawna July 24, 2011, 7:41 pm

My kids would love these and I would have the piece of mind that they are getting their fruits!

  • Joy F July 24, 2011, 5:34 pm

My neice would love these. Her parents are only giving her healthy food and this would be just perfect.

  • Ed Nemmers July 24, 2011, 5:28 pm

I like the easy access caps on these products!

  • Caryn S July 23, 2011, 1:06 pm

I love the different flavor combinations. I like how they add apples, for instance, to the peas and spinach to sweeten it up without adding sugar.

  • Mrs. Smitty July 23, 2011, 11:24 am

I’d like to try these b/c I make my own baby food, but these would be very convenient for on the go feedings. Day trips, playdates, vacations… all would be easier while I could trust the foods are as nutritional and healthy and my own homemade foods.

  • Zanna B. July 23, 2011, 8:20 am

WOW, I have never seen anything like this before. What a great idea. I would love to let my 8 month old try them out. They look handy and convenient and would be great for our campingf trip in late Aug.

  • Meghan July 23, 2011, 12:12 am

We’ve tried similar products but not this specific brand. I’d love to try though. They have yummy flavors and not just applesauce like others I’ve had.

  • stacy July 22, 2011, 1:13 am

These would come in handy while traveling with a little one. Amazing how things have changed in the baby food market.

  • Ashley July 20, 2011, 8:54 pm

I love these too! Although I will be honest I didn’t realize they were in Starbucks…that is incredibly intriguing :D I’ve been ordering them online. My19 month old loves them and my 4 year old loves them too, they both think they are treats and i’m not going to argue with them begging me for veggies :)

  • Danielle July 20, 2011, 8:49 pm

My 2 year old LOVES when he gets to pick out a Peter Rabbit Organics fruit pouch when we’re at Starbucks. It’s what I bribe him with to get good behavior ;)

  • Missy July 20, 2011, 1:45 pm

I’m unsure how this will go over but interested in trying it.

  • Jessica July 20, 2011, 10:00 am

I love the squeeze packs for my daughter although this is a brand we haven’t tried. I usually keep a few around to throw in the diaper bag when we will be out of the house for a while. I made a lot of baby food myself when she was tinier, but now at 21 months she eats mostly table food and these are great for convenience on the go!

  • Becca July 19, 2011, 9:02 pm

I’m between the baby food stage with my two kids, and haven’t tried these pouches yet. But you can be sure I will be trying them when my youngest gets to that point. You just can’t beat the convenience!

  • Stephanie July 19, 2011, 6:19 pm

I’ve been seeing quite a few brands come out with these squeezable fruit & veggie pouches…and I love the trend! These snacks are healthy, quick-to-grab, and not super messy.

Thanks for the introduction to the Peter Rabbit Organics brand. I’ll keep my eye out for them next time I’m at Whole Foods.

  • AlexisG July 19, 2011, 2:40 pm

I’ve noticed these in stores and thought they would be a great idea to try for my son. I’m not sure if I would purchase them regularly but I would like to try them out — if they go over well, who knows, they may become a regular purchase in our house!

  • Pauline July 19, 2011, 11:49 am

My sister’s best friend just gave birth to quadruple but she also have a 3 year old whom I think would enjoy this product immensely. I purchased this for my youngest and she loved it and i think hers would love it too – (emscout9 at Hotmail dot com).

  • Delphina July 19, 2011, 3:53 am

Our youngest s just starting to eat real food. This looks so convenient when we travel. I always worry carrying glass.

  • Joy Newlan July 18, 2011, 11:53 pm

i see these at starbucks and wonder if my girls would enjoy them. I have a friend who says they saved her during a long/hot vacation

  • Tara July 18, 2011, 9:28 pm

These pouches are so convenient for travelling!

  • Sara T July 18, 2011, 1:34 pm

I have been wanting to try these for when we are out and about. It would be a great snack, and there would be no spoon to clean off. I love that there are no weird added ingredients too.

  • Zene July 17, 2011, 8:41 pm

We got something similar at winco and my guy loved it! Spottedjagiwar at yahoo dot com

  • Ashley Brandes July 17, 2011, 2:11 pm

I’ve really been wanting to try out this new brand of pouches. My 1 year old LOVES being able to feed himself, but is super picky about the flavors. We use lots of pouches in our house. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Carol L July 17, 2011, 3:50 am

This is one of those products that’s definitely going to be an answer to finicky eating in children. My Grandson is a very picky eater to the point my daughter stresses he isn’t eating enough. This would be a perfect solution. Thanks for the opportunity to win and making entering so very easy. :)

  • Jenny Hull July 16, 2011, 6:44 am

We love the pouches in our house, too! I haven’t tried this brand yet, though! We usually get ours at Wegman’s or Target and the little guy just loves to suck the stuff out! We keep them in our diaper bag for easy on the go snacks! I would love to try this brand!

  • Lisa Cowan Whitham July 15, 2011, 10:32 pm

These look neat. The mango orange banana actually sounds like a really good flavor! I know a little guy that would really love to try these. They offer really interesting flavors.

  • Tiffany U July 15, 2011, 11:20 am

I would love to try these because we are just starting my littlest one on solids and I am looking for great alternatives for feeding when we go out. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Kerri July 14, 2011, 8:53 pm

We love the pouches in our house. Now that my daughter is getting older, I attach the spoon and she can feed herself. It’s a little messy but at least she is eating nutritious food.

  • Jessica A July 14, 2011, 11:17 am

I have reviewed the veggie and fruit pouches on my blog and my boys LOVE them!! Normally, I pick up a couple boxes of the Plum Pouches (like these) for trips but these are cheaper! :) And I have even had one or two before as a snack in the car! Haha

  • JLJMommy July 14, 2011, 8:54 am

My 14 month old sees those pouches in the grocery store and squeals in delight. He loves them and I’m soooo happy to know he’s getting great nutrition on the go! – Also, I didn’t know they had them at starbucks!

  • ashley n July 13, 2011, 8:21 pm

I normally make my own baby food, but this would be nice for the grandparents house or when we are out

  • Kristen July 13, 2011, 5:11 pm

My son just started eating solid foods. I noticed when i went shopping for some, there was a pretty limited choice of flavors. NONE of these flavors were at the store, so i would love to let my son try them!

  • Heather McDonough July 12, 2011, 3:41 pm

These are so neat! What a great way to have your baby try a variety of different flavors of food without having to make it myself. And the fact that it’s organic is such a plus!

  • Andi B July 12, 2011, 11:01 am

I’ve actually never tried a squeezable baby food container. It makes me wonder if it really is more convienent than other options. My son is just learning how to drink out of a straw and i wonder how he would do with these. the flavors also actually sound like something i would make him as well.

  • Christina July 11, 2011, 8:32 pm

I haven’t seen this brand in stores yet,but have seen similarly packaged types. My son is just starting solids and my other child is 10,so amazed at the new types!

  • Sally July 11, 2011, 3:36 pm

I love the convenience that squeezable baby food provides. I have tried various varieties before and these look really yummy! Thanks for the opportunity. ::

I gave some of these to my toddler who won’t eat veggies, and it was a great way to sneak them in!

  • Raven In A Blue Room July 10, 2011, 6:37 pm

we have tried it before. Even the veggie blends taste great – my kids love it

Thank you for hosting this giveaway

Wow these look amazing!! I cant wait to try them!

  • Kerry July 10, 2011, 11:56 am

I like the mixed flavors, especially the ones that have vegetables in them! These would be great to take along in the diaper bag to playdates and such.

  • Crunchy Beach Mama July 9, 2011, 10:18 pm

Love the food pouches like these and Peter Rabbit is definitely a favorite too!! I too love baby food…except when my husband bought chicken something the other day (I never buy meats) and you should have seen the look on ALL of our faces when we opened that package to smell it. P had one bite and shook his head no no no! :)

  • Sonya July 9, 2011, 3:59 pm

Baby food has come a long way! I love the concept of baby food in a pouch, my daughter likes the Plum Tots in a pouch also. I would love for her to try these and see if she likes them. Organic baby food is a must for my daughter and I am glad that there is a market for it now!

  • Susan M. July 9, 2011, 8:33 am

Before my daughter was born, I kept saying I was going to make my own baby food…9 months later, the most I have done is smash up bananas and avocado (sad, I know). Otherwise I use the Earth’s Best when I have a coupon or Gerber, but only ones where the actual vegetable/fruit are the only ingredients. I am always looking to try a good organic option where I know what is in it!! Plus, having something I can take to restaurants or other places is perfect if I don’t order something I can give her bites of.

  • Sarah Hull July 9, 2011, 2:56 am

I love food pouches for my son for snacks at home or for part of a meal when we are out and about! I feel that it is a great (and tasty) way for him to get some extra veggies and fruit into his daily diet. It’s such a convenient treat for my son! I think my son would absolutely love the Pea, Spinach and Apple pouch!

  • Anders July 8, 2011, 10:51 pm

These look great for snacking on the go, especially for summer. I am even a little curious to try them myself!

  • donna zittel July 8, 2011, 7:26 pm

we love these type of feed yourself food pouches in our house. My 4 yr old still loves them as a snack and I use them as they are cleaner believe it or not for my 21 month old twins then giving them something like applesauce, which they usually dump on their heads. I love I can throw these in the diaper bag and go!

  • Nina July 8, 2011, 7:11 pm

I would love to try this! It’s always so hard to have healthy diaper bag food that’s not just crackers/cereal!

  • Amanda Alvarado July 8, 2011, 1:51 pm

It doesn’t matter that dd is 3 YEARS old! She loves these things! It doesn’t matter the brand, she will gobble them up! They are also great to take on trips and to the beach. :-)

  • Aimee E. July 8, 2011, 1:45 pm

I’ve tried two other organic brands, and it would be nice to compare these, too. I haven’t seen them when I’ve looked at the grocery store or Target.

  • Sammi July 8, 2011, 1:41 pm

they look great – I would eat them myself, especially since they are organic!

  • Amanda July 8, 2011, 12:20 pm

I love these! I often make my own baby food, however she hates the green veggies. They make a really good combo with fruit and veggies that make the veggies more appealing. I also love these for taking on the road. I can just give them to her and squeeze directly into her mouth. They are SO handy!! If I have to buy baby food these are the only ones I buy.

  • Jennifer July 8, 2011, 11:07 am

The sweet potato, corn, and apple sounds yummy! I love the idea of these! What a great way to help kids eat healthy!

  • Samantha Cuhel July 8, 2011, 9:45 am

I love their unique flavor combinations. I am currently doing a mix of jarred baby food (usually Beech Nut) and homemade, and would never think to combine their fruits and veggies. What a great way to get new foods with a wider range of vitamins (and of course taste) to your baby! I’d love to try these out, I think they’d hold up great in the diaper bag when we’re on the go too =)

  • Kerrie Mayans July 8, 2011, 8:13 am

I love these pouches. I have bought them a few times for my daughter at starbucks and she seems to like them. They are a bit pricy there but if I am having coffee with friends and didn’t bring anything for her it is worth it. It is also convient b/c she is old enough to eat it by just holding and sucking it down. Way better than me bringing a jar and spoon along. And she doesnt make a mess so I don’t need to put a bib on her when she uses these.

  • Terri S. July 8, 2011, 8:08 am

I have not tried baby food in pouches yet but it looks very convenient and I like the variety of organic foods that they offer. My 9 mo. old granddaughter will not eat spinach either but the pea, spinach and apple combo might appeal to her (she loves peas and also apples pureed). These look very handy for here at home and also for when we are out and I want to make sure she is eating healthy foods. Thanks for review and giveaway too! :)

  • Jessi G July 8, 2011, 7:54 am

Hi! I make my own baby food as well, but I like to have the “on the go” baby food too. I have tried these squeezables myself and they are yummy :) I love the fact that they have simple ingredients. These things really are great! I have three kids (8 months-6yrs) and they all enjoy these!

  • Mary July 8, 2011, 7:37 am

I’ve used pouches before, but I haven’t tried the Peter Rabbit brand (though I have been tempted in Starbucks…) I’d love to try Peter Rabbit :) I love the convenience!

  • Chelly July 7, 2011, 11:58 pm

Peter Rabbit!! I still have my Potter books from when I was a child and I read them to dd. They are some of my favorites.

DD never had baby food! We didn’t have the luxury where we were during that time. And yes…. packaged pureed baby food is a luxury!! DD would have loved the spinach! I make spinach pesto on peas, it’s one of her favorites

  • Jen Breedlove July 7, 2011, 11:40 pm

I have a 2 month old and a 2 year old. These were NOT around when my 2 year old was at this stage, so I’m looking forward to trying them out when we get there with baby in a few months!

  • Brandi Elam July 7, 2011, 11:37 pm

My older kids (8,7,&6) love squeezable applesauce. While I am planning to make most of my baby’s food when he starts solids next month, I know that sometimes I’ll need a travel option and these look perfect! I love that they are organic and I love your idea of mixing with quinoa!

  • Catherine July 7, 2011, 8:42 pm

I’ve been seeing these everywhere recently, and am so curious to try them out. Squeezable baby food wasn’t around with our oldest (2.5), and I keep thinking it would have been a wonderful thing to have to toss in the diaper bag or have in the car! Bitty bear has just started with yogurt, and we made our first puree making purchases for him at the store today…I can’t wait to start making baby food again! :) It would be wonderful to have a chance to try these out as an option, too – I’ve definitely started looking at them for combination inspiration!

  • Mechele Johnson July 7, 2011, 6:43 pm

I am curious about these. I usually make my own or pick up a few jars here and there of Earth’s Best or Beech Nut. I like that because I can re-use the jars and don’t feel bad about wasteful packaging, which we as a family are trying to eliminate. However, I must admit, it sure would be handy to throw a couple of these in the diaper bag for trips! I am also quite sure the pouches are recylclable…

  • Brittney Minor July 7, 2011, 5:59 pm

I have wanted to try these ones! I like Ella’s Kitchen ones! They are so convenient and easy to take on the go…no spoon needed! My kids are 2 & 3 and I still use these just because they are not so messy and very easy to give the kids in the car!!!

  • T Rex Mom July 7, 2011, 4:10 pm

Funny you should write this – my order of Plum Organics just shipped. We get a case about every three months. It’s a way of getting the kids to eat their veggies on the run – like if we’re at the park and I know they won’t sit still long enough to eat their carrots but they can gulp down a carrot packet in 30 seconds. It’s pretty handy. I’ve never heard of Peter Rabbit Organics. I’ll check them out. Thanks.

  • Ashley July 7, 2011, 2:42 pm

We have tried Happy Baby pouches like this. I love that they use less packaging and so they are more environmentally-friendly than glass jars or the plastic bins.

  • Tiffany July 7, 2011, 2:20 pm

My daughter is almost 2 and she still goes absolutely gaga over “squeeze” baby foods! Peter Rabbit products are among her favorites! Would love to re-stock the pantry with these! :-)

  • Natalie Sharp July 7, 2011, 11:41 am

What a great idea! I am looking forward to making food for my little guy. This looks like a great on the go option. I would love to try these. Being on a tight budget makes it a little difficult to just try things when you don’t know if he will like them. I’m sure he will love these but a free try would be awesome. Thanks so much.

  • Carolyn H July 7, 2011, 11:40 am

I would love to win these because my little guy will be starting solids real soon and I want to make my own or serve him ready-made organic food. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • debbie m July 7, 2011, 11:20 am

First discovered these at Starbucks of all places. Both my 1 year old and 6 year old love these!! They are great for on the go and getting in more fruit!

  • Melissa Pope July 7, 2011, 10:07 am

My child loves the pouch babyfoods. She is 15mos, and they are great for on the go snacks while at the grocery or just running errands. Plus i know shes getting a great healthy snack!

  • Nicole durant July 7, 2011, 9:16 am

We’ve tried a few of the different pouch style products. I agree, they will be great for our camping trips and upcoming music festival where we can’t bring glass!

  • Robin H July 7, 2011, 8:50 am

Wow – I didn’t know Starbucks had things for kids! I’ll have to stop by sometime.
My son LOVES his GoGo squeeZ applesauce (so much so that I just signed up for automatic delivery every 2 months on and Plum organics baby blueberry, pear & purple carrot. We have tried some other flavors, but he didn’t care for those. Can’t imagine trying them 15 times… too expensive to have to throw away the first 14!

  • Staci July 7, 2011, 8:49 am

I do baby led weaning so we had ‘skipped’ the purees with my youngest (who is currently 9.5 mo) – but i’ve been struggling with snacks and sometimes meals while we are out (sure there is usually something she can eat on my plate, but to get a variety of baby friendly fruits or veggies while eating out.. well, its tough) i wanted something she could control and feed herself that is easy to carry and resealable .. squeezable baby food it is!! sure, occasionally she squeezes out a bit more than she can handle, but for the most part she just holds the pouch and eats it!

  • kelley July 7, 2011, 8:42 am

I have always wanted to try out these pouches. They seem so convient and provide a healthy organic meal option.
