A Sunlit Saturday

The sun is shining. Hot July in Connecticut.

My baby boy is napping after his morning tour of the yard/gardens with daddy, and a little giggle-time with mommy.

When he awakes, we’re going to pick blueberries, peaches, and plums at a local orchard, and attend a BBQ… I love Saturdays, especially in the summer! It’s so nice that Asher is old enough to be social, and he is SO interested in other people and the world around him. He loves to babble, smile, laugh, and is practicing his rollovers. I think he might be starting to teeth (a bit more fussy at times and gnawing on anything he can shove in his mouth!). He still has a tendency to get overtired quickly, and we are working on being more sensitive to his sleep needs (ie: getting him down for a nap BEFORE the overtired signals start!).

Oh, how he has changed, and not just in looks (yay, hair growing in!). When I look back on the past 5 months of his life, mommy-hood has definitely gotten easier each month (new challenges, but easier!). I can’t wait to see what the rest of his first year brings – pretty soon we’ll start cereals, baby foods, crawling… oh joys!!!

And, I finally figured out how to customize our blog a little bit. It’s nothing grand, but we hope you like the new color scheme. Please give me some feedback in the comments. We are also working on a new header, but that is slow in coming since I am not a graphic designer! 🙂

Enjoy your weekend!

I do think parenting gets easier as kids get older...harder in some ways too...but it's definitely not as physically exhausting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! [email protected]
