If you’ve noticed I’ve cut back on cloth diaper reviews, well… it’s true, and partly because I’ve done so many reviews of various styles and brands, I’ve had little to share that I feel would benefit my readers.
Also, we’ve gotten to the point where I like what I like… but then! Bummis, a favorite brand of mine, came out with the style of diaper I really like and sent me a set for me to share with my readers! The cover + interchangeable insert style! Otherwise known as an “All-in-Two!”
I pretty much began my cloth diaper experience using AI2’s and they’re still my go-to diaper style.
Bummis now makes the Duo-Brite AI2 Deluxe Pack: one wipe-clean Duo-Brite Wrap (cover) and three Duo-Brite Inserts. Yep, that’s three diaper changes for the price of one! That’s what I love about AI2’s – they’re not just easy, they’re economical!
I find All-in-Two diapers a bit easier than a pocket because there’s no stuffing. And the Bummi’s Duo-Brite AI2 inserts snap into the wrap to keep the pads in place.
Each insert is double-sided and you can pick which way to snap it in. 1) Organic cotton side up for natural fibers on the skin, or 2) Poly side up for stay-dry feeling. Now you don’t even need to deliberate between buying one kind of insert over the other!
You can even mix and match the cover and inserts with other Bummis’ wraps and diapers, so it adds a lot of versatility to my cloth diaper stash.
The Duo-Brite AI2 Deluxe pack has Bummis’ thickets waterproof laminate (2mm, which is extra durable!). I’ve never had leaks in any Bummis product, but I’ve always loved the sturdy feel of their 2mm laminate.
And as I may have mentioned a time or two before (ahem!) in past reviews of Bummis – the fit is superb and looks comfortable for my son to run around in!
And don’t forget, as I always like to mention, Bummis products are made in Canada from fabric made in the USA, for those of us who are trying to buy US or North American products.

Thanks to Bummis for sending me their new Duo-Brite to test out! All opinions are my own.
Trying to build a stash for a new baby due 1-22-15 Single mom trying to do it all My parents live a green lifestyle and so do I!!
I prefer pockets but AIO’s are easier (no stuffing lol) so I have to say AIO’s.
I’m still pregnant, so still considering all the options! Excited to see what works!
Right now I like covers and prefolds/flats/or fitteds as this was the cheapest way to go when starting out. But I have found that I like the one pocket diaper I have for night time!
I like using covers and prefolds.
I tend to like pocket diapers but namely because that’s the only type I’ve ever used on my kids.
We haven’t had any experience since our baby isn’t due for another few weeks, but we plan on using pockets and ai2s. I have made quite a few prefolds from my husband’s old work shirts and can’t wait to try them out!
I prefer AI2s!
Hybrids are by far my favorite!
My favorite style of cloth diapers are pockets with hemp inserts during the day and prefolds and a cover for night time, or if it is really hot outside.
I’m just starting to build a stash but I love having a variety of options. I hope to eventually sew some of my own diapers, so I’m mostly purchasing covers!
LOVE! this blog SO helpful! I hope I win!
I have been dying to try this method of diapering!
I really like AI2 systems
I don’t have a favorite yet, as I am just getting started. But I have a feeling I will end up liking prefolds and fitteds most. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if pockets win me over too.
I like prefold diapers, although I’m up for trying other styles.
Pockets are my favorites so far!
I started with prefolds/covers, but my favorites are pockets by far! They’re no harder than disposables and come in soooooooo many cute prints!
My favorite are ai2 but I have a mix of styles as I like different ones for various reasons.
Love fitteds
AI2’s are my favorite! Love being able to just swap out the insert 🙂
My favorite are aio, regardless of how long they take to dry. The trade off is not having to stuff diapers. They are quick, easy, just put them in and you are done. I especially love them if they are Velcro. My mother in law is legally blind and I have lupus which leads to joint pain in my hands. But honestly I love all cloth. It’s addicting.
I have a mix of diaper types, mostly AI2 (which are the easiest to laundry) and pocket (which are the easiest to have those not familiar with cloth diapers put on without getting confused).
I’m just learning, but I think I like the pockets best so far. They seem pretty straightforward.
I think I want pocket diapers, I’ve never used them, but I want to try. That’s why I’m trying to win some to start out.
I like the versatility of hybrids. I haven’t tried AI1s b/c I don’t have a place to sundry them frequently and they take longer than other types to dry…or so I’ve heard 🙂
Hybrids!
My favorite is prefolds with covers, easy and economical
I love AI2’s!
Hybrids!
I use mostly pockets but I think if I had to do it all again/start my stash over I would use covers with lay in inserts ( I can’t remember what that’s called)
I prefer Fitteds, but now that my son is older AI2’s work better for us.
Aios are the way to go.
I love pockets on my daughter, and hybrids on my son. 🙂
My favorite diapers are pocket type, but I also love the convenience of AIO.
Usually prefolds and covers, although I do love AI2’s as well
I pretty much like all the types, but it’s the brands themselves I like better.
I love AI2s there my favorite so easy to use and easier to dry then an aio
I love prefolds – so easy, and the cotton is so forgiving. Prefolds last!
I loved using prefolds and Bummis covers for my first. They were so easy to change and the covers are super durable. Look forward to trying out these AI2 as they seem just as easy an have a better fit or my little one’s little legs!
I love prefolds!
These look wonderful! I have the covers I’ve used with prefolds but I usually manage to get poop on the cover.. AI2s may be a better choice for me!
I don’t really have a favorite. I love pockets , prefolds and covers and AI2s
I love both AI1and AI2!
So far, AI1s
I haven’t started yet, since I’m still pregnant but I ordered a few of each and right now I like the pockets and prefolds. They seem like they’ll clean and dry faster/better.
My favorite cloth diapering style is AI2!
Thank You for the great giveaway
Cloth diapering now has so many options. I like the AIO diapers.
I prefer pockets or AI2, but AIOs are nice and easy and I like fitteds every now and then for around the house 🙂
We stick with prefolds and covers primarily throughout the day and used pockets at night until very recently. Our heavy wetter needed a little something extra so we just invested in a few fitteds and so far, so good!
I really do love AI2s. I also use a lot of flats in my covers!
we use a whole variety but i love my grovia ai2s i also love my geffen fitteds with wool… all over the board!
I like pocket and ai2
I’ve only ever used pockets and really like them. I really want to try fitteds and prefolds with covers. I like the idea of them.
I don’t have a personal favorite yet since I’m due with my first soon but I agree that these All-in-Two’s look so much easier than pocket diaper stuffing! 🙂
My favorite diapers are AIOs but I am curious about trying these!
I love ai2s! It makes it so easy for everyone in my family to help!
One of my favorite types of diapers are just flats and covers. They are so easy to wash and are inexpensive. I have tried just about every style and I keep going back to the simple stuff!
My favorite are AIo’s but I also love AI2’s
I like them all, AIO for going out and the rest for being at home.
I started out loving pockets but now I really like AIO and AI2’s!!
My favourite depends on the time of day. I use pockets the most, but prefolds and covers overnight and when expecting a big poop. I also have a couple fitteds I picked up to try overnight, but haven’t deviated from my established habits yet.
Pockets are my favorite, but I love my AIOs for dad and daycare and the covers and trifolds for overnight.
Right now it’s pockets, but I’m trying to get into covers and prefolds/inserts!
I I like different styles for different reasons. But it’s between Al2, Diaper cover, Pocket.
We’ve only tried prefolds and covers so far with our newborn, looking forward to trying new styles since he’s getting bigger. Love the Capri covers.
I really like the fitted diapers I got from my cousin … but, I can’t get myself to spend that much on diapers. So, I stick to what works and doesn’t break the bank: covers and prefolds/upcycled receiving blankets/flat diapers/flower sack towels … sometimes with snappi, sometimes just as pad fold.
I really like AI2s and Pocket Diapers – I haven’t decided yet which I like better.
I think Fitted…I’d be entering for my daughter, and I think that’s what she’d like.
I like hybrids the best
All in twos!
Toss up between pockets and AI2.
I like different styles for different reasons. Our go-to nighttime solution is a fitted with a cover. I like pockets for around the house and naps, and AI2s for on the go!
AIO’s are my favorite type of diaper, but I don’t mind AI2, I’m trying to get more of them as they seem to work better for my son.
AI2 diapers are my favorite because they save me money and save on laundry! I like snap ins better than stuffing pockets, too.
I like AI2s and fitteds!
I like prefolds and hybrids.
Well, it depends on the occasion! I like AI2s/covers & flats for daytime, fitteds for night, and AIOs for trips out!
I love fitteds and covers for night time, and covers and prefolds or flats for daytime. My exceptions are my obsession with totsbots easyfits (though I love their fitteds, too!) and applecheeks 🙂
I’ve only used AI2 but loved using them and can’t wait to use them again with baby #3 as well as try out other diapers 🙂
love AI2 (if both ends of the insert snap in), pockets, and AIO
OS AI1 ate my favorites and snap in liners are so easy so I love them too
I really like the versatility of AI2s…and no stuffing!
Loved my prefolds with double gusseted covers (bummis and rumparooz) when the little guy was still little- now that he’s a squirmy, wiggly monster, pocket diapers have been great
I started out as an only pockets girl but am starting to see the benefits of AI1/AI2
I used the pockets with my kids. Thank you
I love AI2’s as well as covers and flats!
I use many types of diapers for different reasons, but my favorite style is pocket diapers!
I loved pockets in the beginning but as my son got older I tried fitted’s and really liked them. Just found out I’m expecting again and I’m hoping to try some new styles with the new baby as I’ve learned so much about cloth these last two years and I’m thinking I might like the other styles more!
We have mostly used pocket diapers and covers but would love to expand our supply and try different types.
My favorite used to be pockets, but I now HATE stuffing them. I love prefolds + wool or AIOs.
In general I like AI2 diapers since they wash up well and take up less space in the pail. But I did really like my Grovia and Padded Patootie AIO diapers.
I like the fitted ones. Seem easiest to work with.
AI2 or pockets
I prefer ai2 for daytime. I can usually use 2 all day and use pockets at night.
I’m a bug fan if pockets myself
for home I like flats and covers and going out I like AIOs
I like pocket diapers the best. I like that I can adjust the absorbency and we have had the best luck as far as leakage with pockets
After having tried pretty much everything else, I prefer AI2s!
I always reach for prefolds or pockets
I’ve only ever used pocket diapers (I tend to find one thing I like and stick with it), but I’m helping my sister-in-law navigate cloth diapering for her newborn and am LOVING some of the covers and AI2s she has! I’d love to try out what Bummis has just come out with! Great giveaway 🙂
