Well, the big “blog event” is over. Now I’m staring at the screen wondering what to write about. Actually, I’m sort of glad… I mean, I enjoyed pulling together the blog event – it’s the perfect thing for a chronic organizer like me. But I missed writing about my everyday life. I mean, that was TWO weeks I didn’t share my personal life with you (some people are probably happier! Ha!).
The biggest thing on my plate these days is getting back into running shape! Remember those workouts my husband had me doing? Well… with the warm weather and getting back my strength after giving birth, I have broken out of the basement and onto the pavement. That’s right! I’m gearing up for my first road race post-baby! I’m so excited!
With the encouragement of church / Facebook friends, I have started the C25K training program. It’s available through activetrainer.com. C25K stands for Couch-To-5K Running Plan… a program that gets you OFF the couch and ready for race day in just 9 weeks! With only three brief walk/runs per week, this plan is totally do-able. I actually added a fourth run per week because I started late in the game (the race is just 4 weeks away!).

Mock-running with stroller & iPod. No, really though, I DO run with the stroller! |
I will keep you posted on my progress!
What do you do to stay motivated or find time to workout now that you’ve had kids? Leave a comment! Thanks!
I actually missed your personal posts. Although I enjoyed your series, I'm glad that "you" are back. :)Congrats on the upcoming race! I bet you're going to do great.I've sorely neglected running this summer, but I need to get back into it. [email protected]

I've always wanted to run a 5k…I am NOT a runner, though. Maybe someday! 🙂 Best wishes with your training!
