Monkey Doodlez Swim Diaper Review

Letting my baby play in the water has so far been my favorite part of summer! Not needing to constantly buy disposable swim diapers is another. And getting great compliments on the total cuteness of his swim diapers… well, icing on the cake!

I like having a couple swim diapers in my stash, because inevitably, one will be wet/dirty when he wants to go out and play again. (And we all know putting on a wet suit does not feel good!).

Our latest addition to our swim diaper family is the Monkey Doodlez snap swim diaper!

The Monkey Doodlez snap swimmer lets you adjust the waist for various sizes. You can order sizes S-XL, which goes from 10-30+ lbs! We have the size medium, which runs though 15-25 lbs. Their sizing chart is very accurate, because our baby is about 24+ lbs. and we are on the largest setting. Although he seems to be on the verge of growing out of this diaper in the waist, the fit is still generous in the bum area, so I think this diaper will last him through this summer!

This swim diaper is super lightweight and does not absorb the water, so when baby is out of the water it dried quickly. I love that feature, because I don’t have to worry about his skin being irritated by constant dampness! Soft polyester fabric lines the inside of the diaper, and the edges have a wide fold over elastic that doesn’t pinch the skin.

And, the embroidered butt is total cuteness! SO many options! We have the Monkey, but I thought the dragon was adorable too! In the pull-up style there are more designs, including a puffer fish and a sea turtle. I think the cute embroidery make this swim diaper stand out in a crowd!

If you haven’t gotten into cloth diapering yet, I recommend starting with a swim diaper, because the functionality is the same as a disposable swim diaper. You won’t have to deal with leak/absorbency/laundry issues, but you’ll still get the great frugal savings of using cloth! Oh, and cuter designs, softer feel, better fit! The Monkey Doodlez swimmers meet health regulations for public pools too!

Buy it: Find Monkey Doodlez online where they carry AIO diapers, wet bags, pail liners, detergent, and diapering accessories. The MonkeyDoodlez snap-style swim diaper retails for $21.95. The pull-up version retails for $20.00.

I have a soft spot for reusable cloth swim diapers are it was really one of my earliest introductions to cloth diapers. When I saw how expensive disposable swim diapers were I could not believe it. I did not even know cloth was available until I started doing some online searching.

These are adorable. I purchased a couple of WAHM ones that are not made from PUL but from lycra and these are quite comfortable for our daughter. But these really are cute. And A looks very cute in them. And it is fun to get compliments. My son would love the blowfish!
