Right now, I’m waiting for the power to go out. Hurricane Sandy is fast approaching our state.
If we lose power, I’ll be sad for many reasons… one of which is I won’t be able to use my new Maytag appliances, which arrived about a week or two ago!
This hurricane is making me grateful more than ever for my new kitchen set (dishwasher, fridge, gas stove, and hood) – I’m realizing how much we depend on modern conveniences – especially with the upgraded features I now have compared to my old appliances. Here’s just a few:
- an ice maker for icy apple cider or chilled ice coffee!
- humidity controlled crispers in the fridge for fresh fruit and veggies
- steam sanitizer dishwasher for extra clean dishes (oh my, I’m not looking forward to hand-washing dishes if we lose power!)
Let’s hope we don’t lose power!!
One major difference already in our kitchen routines is the super-quiet dishwasher. The other day, I asked hubby to start the dishwasher while I went to feed the baby. About twenty minutes later I returned to the kitchen, and asked, “Did you ever start the dishwasher?” thinking maybe he hadn’t heard me. “I did!” he said, and sure enough… if I listened really, really hard, I could hear the whisper of water swishing about in the machine.
The new dishwasher was so silent, I couldn’t even tell it was on! Amazing, right? With our old dishwasher, we couldn’t even have it running while we watched a movie in the other room – that’s how LOUD it was! haha!
So I’m quite impressed at the stealthy cleaning action of our Maytag dishwasher.
You know, Maytag has been around for over 100 years, and now I am seeing why – it’s a trusted American brand that makes quality appliances with excellent customer service as well!
When do you depend on your kitchen appliances the most?
I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Kitchen Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with a Maytag kitchen appliances set, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and range hood to facilitate my post.
