Holiday Gift Guide 2012: Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Stockings used to be a HUGE DEAL in my family. We’d save them for last. Everyone in the family added items to everyone else’s stockings! They were STUFFED FULL! I’m not sure what was more fun – discovering cool items to tuck into stockings, or finding out what cool items other people had found!

Today I’m sharing a few stocking stuffer ideas for the whole family!

Band-aid – Everybody needs a Band-aid once in awhile, so it might as well be fun! Adults will love new products like Tough-Strips with QuiltVent technology to help heal wounds, or the Cynthia Rowley fun and flirty printed bandages. Children will love the Muppets prints! My son treats Band-aids like stickers, so I have to hide them! Don’t forget Neosporin lip therapy – a useful stocking stuffer, especially during the cold winter months!

Family Bedrock – In addition to funky bibs and cloth diapers, this company sells Honeyticks Beeswax Crayons, safe and natural crayons made from New Zealand beeswax and non-toxic pigments. They smell a little like honey too! The chubby shape makes them easier for toddlers to hold, and difficult to break!

Each box contains 12 crayons in assorted colors that are vibrant and write smoothly on paper! Retails for $17. Get 20% off your order now through the end of November with CODE: AYWMAD.

The Heart of Christmas Movie – Who doesn’t love a good movie? This one’s a tear-jerker. Based on the true story of a boy who brought together a town, this story of compassion is especially compelling at Christmastime, evoking the spirit of selfless giving. Terimally ill Dax isn’t going to make it to Christmas, so the whole town pulls together to give a special and heartwarming gift to this boy and his family. Ah! Are your eyes tearing up yet? It’s a wonderful movie to watch or gift this time of year.

Sportline Pedometers – Add a healthy note to a stocking by ditching the candy, and adding a cool sports item. Like a pedometer! The Sportline 345DS Calorie Tracking Pedometer is small but sleek. Powered by a triple axis accelerometer, the 345DS monitors your steps, distance, calories burned and total minutes of movement all day long. It also has an auto adjust for differences between walk and run stride lengths. Perfect for helping out with New Year’s Resolutions! Retails for $24.99.

What do you put in your Christmas stockings (for adults or kids?).

For children' stocking stuffers I like to individually wrap each gift, although they are small to make the fun go even longer.
