We’ve gone through our share of baby gear in this house, and possibly none more than baby/child seating! With two boys needing special seats at home AND out… that’s a lot of gear!
The Joovy Hook sent complimentary for our review, is a welcome addition to our traveling baby chair fleet. I’ve always wanted a hook-on child seat, and now I have one! In fact, I can tell you right now it’s going to replace one of our current chairs. Because it’s just that awesome!
Yay, mom!
Easy-to-use hook-on child seat
You might have picked up on the fact that any kind of assembly makes me break out into hives? Yes. Well. Happily, the Joovy Hook requires NO assembly! None! It’s an out of the box (well, bag in this case), product.
With the touch of two buttons and fold out arms, you’re ready to attach the hook on child seat to a table! Non-slip rubber grip pads will keep tables from getting scratched.
Luxurious hook-on child seat
The Joovy Hook material is quite unique. It looks and feels buttery soft like leather. And it is, in fact, the only deluxe leatherette fabric hook-on chair on the market! And it’s so easy to wipe clean.
The 3 point harness secures the child. I really appreciated the deep 10.5 inch seat, as I felt very safe having my child sitting on the table edge with the high back and sides (plus harness!).
Light-traveling hook-on child seat
At just 5 lbs and folding into an area only a few inches larger than a sheet of printer paper, you could easily stash the Joovy Hook into a large diaper bag. Or carry it over your shoulder with the strap. This hook-on child seat folds right up into a matching zipper bag!
You’ll probably want to get a Joovy Hook for each child if you have several little ones. Besides, it holds kids up to 37 pounds! That means either my baby (24.5 pounds) or our preschooler (33 lbs) can fit into the seat!
I can’t wait to bring the Joovy Hook camping with us next year – it’s going to be a game changer from having the baby seat on the dirty ground! (FACT: regular booster seats do not strap onto picnic tables, and don’t work with camp chairs! haha!).
Joovy is a family-run American business, specializing in attractive, well-made family products made from high quality materials! You can get your own Joovy Hook online for $69.99 as well as check out their extensive line of strollers, playards, bikes, highchairs and more!

[…] you how fast babies will start eating dirt off the ground next to them! This year we brought our Joovy Hook because the sturdy wooden picnic tables you’ll find at most campsites are absolutely perfect […]
I need to get my son one of these! How fun!
Well I definitely know what our little baby girl will be getting sometime mid next year. Joovy=quality…without a doubt!
We are short one chair at our table if someone comes over and that is because 1 is mismatched I bought so really I’m short 2 good chairs. This would have been great!
Glad the boys are enjoying it 🙂
These are really awesome! My grand-daughters used this, and how I wish it had been around for my kids! i love that it gets rid of the big, tacky high chairs that take so much space and that this puts the baby at the table with the rest of the family.
Oh my goodness. Look how many teeth he has now. What happened to the squishy baby in your blog’s header. I love seeing your pictures. Your boys are both so sweet.
