Elegant inspiration in the kitchen #deltafaucetinspired

Parents do a lot of things one-handed. Babies simply demand to be “up” whenever they sense a sink might come into play, don’t they? Our little son sure does!

Now that I have my new kitchen faucet installed, courtesy of Delta, it’s easier to handle a baby and get things done around the sink!

Fill up the teapot? Sure, not a problem, I gently touch the faucet with my thumb and Whoosh! the water comes on for me! Same with turning the water off! Or, if there’s really a crisis of baby proportions, the water will turn off by itself after a short while. Which, I admit is rather funny when someone else is using your faucet and the water turns off on them! Right, mom!?

Our toddler is more motivated than ever to wash up for dinner. He couldn’t reach the faucet handle on our old sink, even with his step stool. With the Touch2O technology, he can tap on the faucet to turn the water on and off. Clean hands for dinner!

The Touch2O feature is great when you’re filling a big heavy pot of water – you can turn the water off with a touch instead of letting it run the whole time you’re carrying the pot to the stove.

And I love the touch technology for handling meat – now I don’t worry about contamination from touching the meat and then having to turn the faucet on!

Comparing old vs new faucet – it really isn’t fair! Our old faucet was breaking down, cracked spray button, difficult sprayer hose, rather stumpy in design. Side by side photos of the two faucets clearly show how much we have “leveled up” with our new faucet!

The day we had our faucet installed was an exciting one… both for me and the boys. They loved trying to peer in and see what the professional plumber was doing! Although I do think anybody who is handy could have installed this faucet, I’m glad we had a professional because apparently, our water filtration had been added to the old faucet in a way that wouldn’t fit with the new faucet. The plumber had to add a bit of piping for us and the job was done in less than two hours!

The Touch2O technology operates via battery, so there’s no need to wire anything to use the faucet. You can still work the faucet manually as usual, but if you pull the handle out to “on,” then tap the spout, the water stops flowing. Tap again, and water is on!

I love the high arch spout of our new faucet, and the subtle fluting around the wand head. The Arctic stainless steel matches perfectly with our existing stainless appliances. I think our new faucet adds elegance to the kitchen.

Personally, getting a new faucet in a classic (er, transitional!) design like the Delta Addison Touch2O Technology Faucet has inspired me to make changes in our kitchen. Remember my kitchen inspiration Pinterest board? Well… while some ideas were outside our budget and time constraints, I did create a fall wreath to decorate over the sink. What do you think?

While it elevates the style of our kitchen, the faucet design is classic enough to where it doesn’t look out of place, making it the perfect faucet to get early on in our redecorating! It’s good to have a pretty faucet. (And a technologically advanced one, too!).

Delta Touch2O Technology for your kitchen and bathroom is precisely in tune with your every touch. Take the quiz to learn which faucet style best describes you at deltafaucet.com
