Latch On! Milkin’ Cookies Review

As a new breastfeeding mother, I had difficulty getting started out right – after weeks of poor latch and intense pain, I got a mastitis infection. Stress + infection + pain + sleepless nights + crying baby = decreasing milk supply! Like I needed one more thing to worry about, right?

Diminishing milk supply is a common concern among breastfeeding moms. Fortunately, the doctors at Milkin’ Cookies have a delicious remedy. So what ARE Milkin’ Cookies and why am I raving about them? Milkin’ Cookies are yummy soft cookies that include galactagogues (like oatmeal) that promote healthy milk production. And they’re not just for breastfeeding moms either – anyone can eat them (but we’ll keep that to ourselves, okay, moms?). Cookies that promote healthy lactation? Sign me up!

I wish I had known about Milkin’ Cookies when I had lactation issues, but I only discovered these great cookies a little while ago. I recently was sent several samples of Milkin’ Cookies (I know, who’s luckier than me, right?). I selfishly ate all but one (gave the other to a nursing mom friend! And I think my husband got two bites). Sorry, but they were SO good – soft, and not overly sweet, and perfect with a glass of milk! I would eat these cookies even if I wasn’t nursing – they seriously just TASTE good and not like “health food,” even though they are pretty healthy for you!

Wouldn’t it be nice if every personal or medical issue could be solved by eating cookies?

About the Company:

Milkin’ Cookies was created by two doctor moms who wanted to find an answer to low milk supply that didn’t involve prescription medications. Knowing how certain natural ingredients aid nursing mothers, they created a recipe for successful lactation – in two flavors: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Almond Oatmeal (my favorite!).

Milkin’ Cookies are full of healthy ingredients like whole wheat flour, wheat germ, flax seed and oatmeal – notice NO preservatives! And, individually wrapped, they make great snacks to throw in your diaper bag when you’re on the go. A supply of Milkin’ Cookies also makes a great shower or after-the-baby gift for a new nursing mom! I know this is going to be my new “go-to” gift for new moms!

Buy It: You can get your own delicious Milkin’ Cookies at their online store – a 2 week supply starts at $20.99.

Win it: I am so excited that one of my readers will get a 2 week supply of Milkin’ Cookies, courtesy of the kind and creative doctors of Milkin’ Cookies!

DISCLOSURE: Milkin’ Cookies sent me cookie samples to eat in order to write this review! Thank you! Yum! I was under no obligation, and this review is my honest opinion based on my personal experiences.

I like how they don't use preservatives, but they can be stored in the freezer (or hidden there from the other cookie monsters in my house).
