It’s taken me six months to figure out “nursing fashion.” I don’t like to lift my entire shirt and have my belly hanging out. And some shirts aren’t stretchy enough to pull down. And not EVERYTHING has a button down front (wouldn’t that be nice!). It seems there are any number of fashion problems that occur while breastfeeding!
Hello, Skinies Nursing Cami. I am so glad I latched onto this great camisole! As their slogan says, “so fun to wear it’ll make you want to breastfeed!” Fortunately, I already want to breastfeed but, still…

Skinies is a mom-created company. Jodie created the Skinies nursing camisole as the answer to many problems she encountered with the typical nursing cami. Skinies Camis are a PATENTED nursing cami with open cups; you wear it under any shirt to instantly convert your tops into nursing tops!

- The comfortable, lightweight cotton fabric does NOT add bulk. The Skinies Cami was a dream to wear under clothing!
- The exposed openings (read: no clasp!) eliminate fussing with your outfit to get dinner for baby. Who wants to unlatch not one, but TWO straps? Not me!
- Two ways to wear – under your bra (to cover your not-quite-abs-of-steel!), or over your bra – reach under the stretchy material and unlatch your bra. Easy-peasy. I like this because I also have (as Jodie, owner of Skinies, so eloquently put it) an “energetic” baby who likes to pull everything off and expose me!
- The neckline / fit – it says “low” neckline on the package, but it’s not “low-cut.” In fact, this is what I love MOST about Skinies. Unlike other nursing camis (which don’t have the options above), the top of the Skinies LAYS FLAT under your outfit – no double layer/slits bunching under your top. I found the necklines on other camis tended to sag because the fronts have to be snapped and folded down. I don’t like that! My Skinies Cami give me front coverage under a shirt without sagging, so my outfit looks crisp and sharp, and not revealing!
- New line coming out in September! I’m very excited to share the breaking news that a new line of Skinies will be out in just a few weeks! This line will have 2 inches added to the length of the cami (very important for post-baby bodies!), will come in THREE colors (Black, White, and now, Nude!), and will have an improved fit in the back and under the arms. Plus, TWO styles – with flower petal embroidery or without. Wow! I can’t wait!
Buy it: You can buy your own Skinies Cami in White, Black, or Nude (in Sept) for $33.00.
Win it: One lucky reader of the Latch On! Event is going to win a free Skinies Cami courtesy of Jodie, owner of Skinies Camis!
DISCLOSURE: Skinies sent me a cami to use and review. I was under no obligation, and this review is my honest opinion based on my personal experiences.

First off, I love the name! It evokes a feeling of being thin right after giving birth! Not to mention, it's made to help keep things in place after birth and while nursing :P I love it!demureprincess7(at)gmail(dot)com
