Mommy. Party. I suppose I didn’t think I’d use those two words in the same sentence ever! But thanks to Mommy Parties, I did/am/will.
Earlier this week I hosted a special Nutella Mommy Party at my house with two of my new-found blogger friends – you can visit them over at This Mama Loves Her Bargains!
We were trying out an all-time favorite product of mine – Nutella Chocolate Hazelnut Spread! I was super excited about this party because Nutella is a staple in any Italian household. I have long loved Nutella, which has been going strong for 40+ years! (It’s only been available to the US since the 80’s, but where have you BEEN if you haven’t tried this yet!?).
Funny story – I had been hoarding a jar of Nutella since the early days of my marriage and let me tell you: it’s better to just eat and enjoy it right away. Ha ha! When I opened up my NEW jar of Nutella sent by Mommy Parties, I realized just by smelling its sweet chocolately nutty goodness that the jar in my cupboard needed to be tossed. Yes, Nutella is delicious but as they say – all good things must come to an end, so either eat it before the expy date or … you’ll wave regretfully as the wasted product gets hauled to the curb.
But enough about me and another lost food story! More about Nutella! Did you know that in every 13 oz jar of Nutella there are over 50 hazelnuts? Wow. And I usually get the 26 oz jar so that is like 100 hazelnuts! Honestly, it might sound bad to eat chocolate for breakfast, but you’re not supposed to gorge yourself (you can ignore me while I do, though!). If you just put a tablespoon of Nutella on some whole wheat toast, you can enjoy some chocolate but still feel good about eating a breakfast that has whole grains and protein as well!
For the party I made waffles – plain and some with Nutella baked in (sorry the photos came out dark). I loved the taste of Nutella over the waffle – it’s a handy treat to snack on while you’re running after a baby because unlike maple syrup it doesn’t run, so you can easily eat the waffle by hand!
We chatted about Nutella and blogging – and had a great tme watching our children play and color together! The Nutella Mommy Party was a success and ended all too soon!
Have you ever tried Nutella? What is your go-to breakfast?
I received products to facilitate this party. All opinions are 100% my own.
