I think this might be my favorite pregnancy photo yet!
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! I am one mama ready to pop!! How appropriate for this fire-cracker holiday!
Of note: It’s funny, the day I wore this dress, some people reacted with “WHOA, you’re ready to go, aren’t you!” and others with “oh you’re so tiny for 36 weeks!” Those are two VERY different perspectives!
Symptoms: I get a really stiff back, especially after driving in the car – even short distances. Lots of quite painful and breath-taking Braxton-Hicks contractions. I measured my belly and was about 40 inches around. WOW! I am always amazed at how the body can grow and stretch so much. The good news – NO stretch marks so far!!
Thoughts from Family: When I say “the baby is moving!” our son immediately puts his hand on my belly. Sometimes he doesn’t even really stop his playing but if he’s close by just reaches up with one hand and lays it on my belly and continues driving his cars with the other. It’s really cute. He enjoys driving his cars around my belly – apparently I make a great mountain. And he’ll often cradle his hands and sing rock-a-bye baby to an imaginary baby – I think he’s ready to meet his little brother! He also likes to tell me that my body is “full” – thanks, kiddo! 🙂 Getting ready: Hubby did a fantastic job installing these new shelving units in the boys’ bedroom closet. And in our typical style, did we take a before picture – NO! Sigh. So you just get the after picture! I’m very excited to have separate spaces to organize each boy’s things! Don’t you LOVE those pull out drawers!? They are perfect for storing sheets and blankets neatly! Four more weeks to go…I am hoping for a wee bit of an early delivery! We still don’t have a SET name, although we have one that is top of the list… I think I need to see him to know if it’s “right.” And… I’m remembering how AFTER I had my first son, I actually “missed” being pregnant. Now I am wondering WHAT was I “missing”? (I think mostly the baby’s movements). Do you miss anything about being pregnant?
