In our family, we try to make water the number one beverage. Bottled water is costly, so we use filtered water in refillable water bottles. We already switched to BPA-free plastic bottles, but we’re trying to use more natural materials. I was excited to review the Lifefactory Glass Beverage Bottle for The Soft Landing. I have my new bottle sitting beside me so I can enjoy ice-cold water while I work on this blog post!

The Lifefactory Glass Beverage Bottle has a modern look with a circle cut-out designed silicone sleeve that protects the glass from damage. This sleeve also makes it easy to grip the bottle, and keeps your hands from the “freeze factor” when your beverage is very cold! Oh, and did I mention it comes in my favorite color – RED! (spring green, turquoise, raspberry, orange, and midnight blue, too!).
What I liked most was the size of this bottle – since it’s a 22 ounce bottle, I don’t have to constantly refill, which helps me drink more water. The first few times I used this bottle, I remarked to my husband that my water tasted fresher, cleaner – there was no plasticky after-taste… just crisp, cold water! With a glass bottle, there is no chemical leaching and no metallic taste. This definitely motivates me to drink water.
This bottle is very well-designed. It’s heavier than most beverage bottles due to the glass, but it’s also sleek and easy to grasp. Easy to drink from too! The wide mouth makes it easy to add ice or if you like, brew some ice tea or throw in a garnish like lemon and lime slices. Plus, the bottle and sleeve can go in the dishwasher together – no need to remove the sleeve (what a time-saver!).
