We’ve been having so much fun watching our newly toddling tot try to keep up with interactive baby friends that move, play music, and encourage exploration. Look for baby‑activated crawl‑and‑move companions on Amazon that bark or play cheerful tunes and shift direction when touched—perfect for little ones who love animals and need a little playful encouragement to move around.

For floor play and developmental fun, there are plenty of activity gyms and play mats with arches, mirrors, hanging toys, and textures that grow with your baby from tummy time into crawling and beyond. These create a cozy play space that encourages reaching, rolling, and exploring while keeping toys within sight and reach.

Great for 0–18 months (and often beyond), these interactive toys make floor time more engaging and help little ones build strength and curiosity as they play.

Baby care items

Eventually our bald babies did grow hair. So I finally needed a baby comb and brush set! The Green Sprouts wooden set is attractive and easy to hold (also sturdier than plastic sets!). The soft bristles on the brush soothe our baby and entertain him as well!

In the bath, avoid large slippery areas by placing tiny rubber bathmats all over the floor of the tub. Made of 100% rubber, they are easy to stick on and peel off as needed. The multicolored whale shapes are fun for babies to look at in the bath as well!
