Newborn Photos with Jennifer Mirock Photography

Already our ten-week-old does not look like when he was born, so I am thrilled to have these photos of him as a newbie!

Unless you’ve got a nack for photography (I do not), the best way to capture those fleeting first days is with a professional photographer! I mean, look at this squishy little face (this, by the way, is a very interesting “composite” shot!):

I’ve gotten about a million compliments on our blog header photos, and a few others I’ve sprinkled into various posts. And I have Jennifer Mirock Photography to thank for these gorgeous shots.

One of my favorites is this one of the baby looking up at his daddy:

Jennifer is a patient and kind professional photographer out of Central Connecticut. She spent two hours plus with our family to get a variety of shots. Jenni never got flustered or made me feel like I had to rush things. Our infant was fussy and would hardly sleep, so it took us forever to get him into this mode: 

Yet through all the rocking, shushing, nursing, Jenni had the utmost patience! Even when the baby pooped about a zillion times! Yikes!

Before our session, Jenni emailed me with suggestions to make the session more relaxing, and encouraged me to nurse and cuddle the baby between shots to keep him calm. She recommended I use Pinterest to collect poses I liked, and then she added her own ideas too, so we had a plan for the session. That’s how I got the idea for this photo:

After our photo shoot, Jenni had the photos artistically edited and on a CD for me within a week! We were delighted to see our family photos with the new baby included!

I recommend you splurge on / save up for newborn photos! With a variety of photography sessions to choose from (regular, newborn, mini sessions), you can get family portraits for Christmas, maternity or newborn photos, or just a quick update of your children as they grow!
