When I think back through all the cloth diapers I have tried over the past four years, a few brands rise to the top of my list.
Thirsties diapers were among the first cloth diapers I discovered as part of a trial package I bought early on for our first son. I had a Thirsties cover and insert, and an older Thirsties pocket diaper. Both have and continue to be well-loved diapers, four years later!
Now, there’s a new model of the Thirsties Duo Pocket diaper:
I always liked my older Thirsties Pocket, but there’s some new features I’m happy to see. For one, it now comes in snaps, my personal favorite. Although hook and loop is easier to put on babies, snaps are more durable and difficult for babies to take off on their own.
The Thirsties Duo Pocket Cloth Diaper fits babies from 8-40 pounds. I didn’t get to try this one on my son until he was about 24 pounds, so I can only say it definitely fits well in this middle size.
Two inserts snap together! One insert is three layers of serged microfiber, this snaps together with the second insert, which is made of five serged layers of hemp jersey.
As the pocket is open on both ends, the inserts agitate out in the wash, so you don’t have to unstuff. Another favorite feature of mine!
I think the inserts are much thicker than the first version, but it has the same great Thirsties leg gussets that contain messes so well!
I’ve tried almost all the Thirsties products by now, including Thirsties Fab Wipes and the Soiled Diaper Wet Bag.
I wish I’d had these Fab wipes long ago, they’re delightfully soft velour on one side (buttery, as Thirsties says!), and come in vibrant colors. I use them for everything from bath to wiping noses! And, when my baby gets a rash, the white microfleece side is the ONLY thing he’ll let me use to wipe him without fussing!
The Thirsties wet bag is a great size for the diaper bag, holding about five soiled diapers easily. It has a zipper close and a snap handle so you can attach it to your bag or stroller. I like how they offer colors to match their diaper prints too – that’s always a fun feature!
Thirsties is always a diaper brand I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Have you become a Thirsties fan yet? What Thirsties diapers have you tried?

I've only bought Thirsties Duo AIO in size 1, & the hemp inserts. We've also used Booty love ( diaper ointment). We love it all! I can't wait to try the new diaper.
