Hello fluffy moms! A friend of mine gave me this great idea of having a “reader’s response” post because she’s seeking help with her fluffy laundry! I might have to do this once in a while it’s such a great thought, and if two heads are better than one, what about all our fluff-lovin’ heads!?
Here’s my first reader-to-reader question:
Deborah, fellow cloth diapering mama has just returned from three months of cloth diapering in Uruguay, South America… wow – you go, mama! Down there they had some serious hard water issues. Here’s how she treated the issues there, with very basic laundry machines, boiling hot water, and reduced detergent. Read her full post here.
Upon returning to the United States, her question now is:
Do I need to do some kind of treating to remove any residue from the “hard water” the diapers were subjected to for almost three months?
Interestingly, the same week Deborah emailed me this question, Jessica from And Then There Were 4 blog wrote a big post all about her saga with hard water treatment. I’d encourage anyone with hard water to read her thorough details here.
But now it’s time for you to participate! I don’t have hard water so I can’t speak from experience, which is why I need you!
What is your advice for Deborah and other cloth diapering moms who battle hard water? Please comment!
(If you have a reader-to-reader question about cloth diapering, please email me and I’ll do my best to post it in a timely manner, or answer it in my own post, where readers can always comment and add their suggestions!).
