Breaking out a deck of cards or a classic board game feels like a timeless tradition – whether with your own kids, or with nieces, nephews, or kids you babysit. During winter months when kids are often indoors more than usual, having a stash of games can help beat the indoor blues.
With great anticipation, I introduced our nearly five-year-old to several classic card games this past month, as well as a few new games!
Board games and card games are really year-round activities, but in our family, they seem to come out more often during the winter, since we’re in New England and can find ourselves storm-bound several times a year.
Hop on over to my guest post on the Melissa & Doug blog to see what games we have been playing (and they make great gift ideas too!).
