Birthday Bash: Zutano Clothing Review

One thing I have learned as a parent – nobody is quite like your baby. I mean nobody. You can try to be impartial, but you can’t help but think your baby is the most squishable, huggable, loveable, chunky-monkey giggly-wiggly bundle of joy on this earth. I think God designed parents to feel that way!

Maybe you’re like me, maybe not, but I love to put together outfits for my baby that make him look even more adorable. I asked hubby to “put something cute on him,” one day, and he said, “That’s your department!” I definitely like to find the best and cutest clothes I can for my kiddo… it’s just fun! And a unique outfit is a great baby’s 1st birthday gift – parents will thank you for not giving something noisy and battey operated! LOL!

So I’m here to tell you about Zutano – started by two NYC parents who also happen to be artists. They design lovely 100% cotton clothing for babies and kids out of their farmhouse in Vermont. What makes their line stand out, to me, is the bold use of color and patterns that are a different take than many baby clothing lines out there.

Here is the awesome outfit Zutano sent me for review – it’s a wee big on my baby right now so there’s room to grow!. I love the mix of lion print and bold stripes. This is a photo after washing, and let me tell you, the fabric just got even softer! This is going to be a great spring and summer outfit for him to run around in!

See, I would never in a million years think to put this kind of outfit together, because I tend to play it safe. But Zutano creates looks that help me think out of the box about baby fashion. Know what else I love? The pants are roomy for our cloth diapers – clearly these clothes are designed by parents who understand that little ones need room to maneuver!
