I’ve only made Thanksgiving dinner once on my own. And I’m not sure that time qualifies because it was the year we all got sick and stayed home; so I threw a few quick dishes together (subbed in chicken for turkey! Ha!). But whether you have a small home gathering or a large Thanksgiving feast, you can pull off the traditional Thanksgiving meal easily with Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery program! Get Thanksgiving delivered for a hassle-free holiday.
De-stress with Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery
This week I tried out the Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery program with my family. It was such a fun experience to celebrate Thanksgiving earlier than usual and pull off a family dinner with little effort!
About a week prior, a large box arrived at my door: a cooler packed with Thanksgiving foods! The Boston Market Whole Roasted Turkey Meal for 12 contains:
- Whole Roasted Turkey
- Spinach Artichoke Dip and Crackers
- Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
- Home Style Vegetable Stuffing
- Cranberry Walnut Relish
- Sweet Yeast Dinner Rolls
- Pumpkin Pie
- Apple Pie
Everything comes fully frozen and safely packaged in tubs or bubble wrap. I put it all in our chest freezer to await cooking.
Easy Prep Lets You Enjoy Family Time!
The day before family came for lunch, I moved everything into the fridge to thaw (foods cook from frozen or even be microwaved). Easy Prep Tip: Set out baking and serving dishes and utensils to get ready for the next day.
I’ve always been scared to cook a turkey myself, but the Boston Market Butterball turkey comes precooked. So there’s no prep or cleaning and more importantly no worrying about undercooked turkey. Just pop the turkey into the cooking bag and into a roasting pan. Then heat through in the oven. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to have the mystery of turkey roasting removed!
The sides were even easier. The spinach-artichoke dip appetizer, bread stuffing and mashed potatoes went into casserole dishes and into the oven. The cranberry sauce and gravy heated through in saucepans on the stovetop.
I had fun giving the sweet yeast rolls a “plus-up” by turning them into Garlic Parmesan Rolls. Easy Plus-up Tip: Brush rolls with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian herb seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese. Warm in a low oven for about ten minutes to set the spices onto the rolls.
Devour Deliciousness Without the Work
When my family came over, we got right to chattering and setting food on the table. We enjoyed the warm spinach-artichoke dip appetizer and crackers while my sister carved the turkey! Her little twins were fascinated by the large drumsticks!
Then it was time to tuck in to creamy mashed potatoes covered in gravy, fluffy stuffy, and of course, the deliciously crisped and browned turkey! Add a side of cranberry sauce and rolls, and Thanksgiving feast was on!
After dinner, the pies were ready to be set out with some ice cream and coffee. I had the best time just talking to my family and helping everyone to more food. There was no stress, just dishes of deliciousness!
