This year, each season has really been defined by my growing, curious little boy. He’s 22 months old on Tuesday… everything is a wonder to him this year, whereas last year he was too little to notice.
The rain. The beach. Seashells. Leaves. Flowers. Raspberries. It’s all magical and intruiging.
The fall season has been no different. As the leaves fall, we have sung our way through a cute picture book Autumn is Here about a million times. His favorite line is:
The sassafras leaves look like dinosaur tracks, dinosaur tracks, dinosaur tracks. The sassafras leaves look like dinosaur tracks… Autumn is here! (to the tune of the Wheels on the Bus).
He actually asks for that song by saying, “D’saur Tacks!” Too cute!
He also loves to “run around” in the fall leaves. Declaring them “Crunchy!” He’s gotten the full fall experience (apart from a freak 12″ snowstorm in October!):
LEAF PILES
WALKS IN THE WOODS
BITTERSWEET VINES
I love living in an area with four seasons, because it’s a beautiful thing to watch your child in awe as the world around them transforms over and over and over….
Never stop being awed by the beauty of God’s Creation, little boy!
Do you have four seasons? Do you have a favorite season?

We have 4 seasons just not very long winters. Even both years we've been here we've had 1 day of snow. Perfect for me! :)

This was lovely to read and a great way to begin catch up of your posting this past week.
I hope you have been well.
We do have 4 seasons here. I would LOVE winter more if the days were longer. I just like wearing scarves and hats. Plus, the kids looks so cute in them, too.
I'd say late spring is my favorite. But then again, early fall is pretty nice, too.

I used to say that summer was my favorite season, especially since that's when my birthday is. And as a former schoolteacher, that's a clear favorite :) But with the freakishly hot temperatures we had this year, I'm going to have to go with fall. Although we haven't had much of one, it's still better than the once-in-a-lifetime blizzards that happened twice last winter and the record number of days of 100 degrees this summer!
