Walking, playing, cleaning, cooking… our baby is Enjoying the Ride while “Ergo-ing” 🙂
The Ergobaby Performance Infant insert and Performance Cargo Pouch have become staples in our day-to-day lives.
I reviewed the Ergobaby soft-structured carrier last year. I didn’t get to enjoy my Ergobaby until my first son was about a year old, so I was pretty excited to start babywearing right away with our new little son.
Since newborns are so teeny, getting the Infant Insert is a must! Simply cradle the baby into the insert – there’s a bottom pillow that supports their bum, keeping pressure off the developing sacrum. It snaps across baby’s body, to keep the insert snugged and offer head and neck support. Then lift the whole package in your arms and into the Ergobaby carrier (already around your waist). A breathable mesh exterior and wicking knit interior mean your baby will not overheat.
This insert works for babies newborn up to 4-5 months. We’re just about at the four month mark, and our baby is starting to hold his head up well, but I’m still using it because it gives extra cushioning inside the carrier.
Another “must-have” accessory for the Ergobaby carrier is a storage pack or pouch. We received the Performance Cargo Pack, which buckles on underneath the baby. I was pleasantly surprised to note how this pack didn’t add a lot of “pull” as I wore it, and I didn’t even feel that it was on. It handily carries enough items to step away from the bulky diaper bag for a time. When we went apple picking, I fit a diaper, wipes, burpcloth, snack, keys, and a few other odds and ends in my pack, as we knew we’d be tractored out into the orchards for about an hour or so, too far to hike back to the car for a diaper change!
An Ergobaby carrier is an excellent choice to surprise a new mom, or even a mom of a toddler this Christmas! That’s why I am so thrilled to announce today’s prize: The Ergobaby Bule of Joy – an ultra comfortable 100% cotton Ergobaby Carrier with a matched Infant Insert!
Thanks to Ergobaby for sending these accessories for review and offering a great giveaway prize! All opinions are 100% my own!
