As I ran from car to house carrying bundles of presents and Christmas trimmings, I started to think about how Mary did not have this “hustle and bustle.” And yet, she carried treasures far more important than my little gifts.
I’ve always loved Christina Rosetti’s Christmas poem “What Can I Give Him?” In the end, we learn our hearts are the best we can offer. (For an amazing picture book version of this poem, go here.). (affiliate link)
It made me think about how each person in the Christmas story carried something of great value to give. In fact, everyone carried something in the Christmas story. For this year’s Christmas poem, I wanted to focus on the delight and treasure they each carried as Jesus was born.

Thank you for sharing that. So often we lose track of Christ in Christmas. Enjoy your time away from your blog and with your sweet little family. In case I don't stop by soon -- I have 12/30 and 1/1 b-days to plan -- have a blessed New Year.
