More Exploring with Backyard Safari Outfitters!

Remember how much fun we had with our ant farm? Well…the ants have since gone to their long home, but that hasn’t stopped our outdoor adventures!
We received more samples from Backyard Safari Outfitters to review and our little guy is completely tricked out for camping!

The Essential Field Gear Adventure Kit has a mini lantern (which he will love having in the tent), a watertight container (perfect for items he finds on the trail or a treasure map), and a retractable carabiner clip (he loves carrying things around, so this will be a great attachment).

With his 3-N-1 Compass Tool, he gets another carabiner clip so he can attach the compass to his backpack or belt. There’s a flip out hidden magnifying glass, great for examining his many treasures, and an LED signal light – our son is VERY into flashlights and buttons!

And most exciting for him was the Dual Vision Night Optics glasses! Wearable during the day too, of course, but at night, there are two light options – a red LED to check out nighttime wildlife (I’m hoping we DON’T see any!), and a super bright white LED for nighttime rambles and bathroom trips! (well, for later when he’s actually using the potty at night). He really loves putting these glasses on! They are a tad big on him yet, but he’s getting a kick out of it!

I think it’s never too early to get kids started loving the outdoors. The fun and sturdy gear from Backyard Safari Outfitters creates ways for kids to interact with nature – and they can “earn” the badge that comes with each product to add to their hat or vest (also sold by BYSO!).

Dad and son have a mini camping trip they are planning (in the backyard, of course, since I will have a newborn) and I know this gear will make for some fun times for them!
