Our Home, Our Coffeehouse

Getting a delicious latte or mocha at a coffeeshop is sort of my one guilty pleasure (staying up late blogging doesn’t count, does it?). But have you seen the prices lately?! Outrageous! Plus, those places aren’t exactly baby-friendly many times!

So last night, I made our home into our very own coffeeshop, thanks to delicious Torani Flavored Syrups – the “secret” of great coffeehouses! Now, I can bring “Torani Authentic Coffeehouse Flavor” into my living room! I love that Torani flavors use actual sugar not artificial sweeteners (except for their Sugar Free line)!! Torani flavored syrups are available in over 122 flavors and there are so many more I want to try!

Let me give you a glimpse into the coffee “date” I created for me and hubby tonight!

We had Peppermint Mocha and Salted Caramel Mocha – both favorite flavors of mine!

First I made coffee (next time, I’ll make espresso, I think Torani syrups do best with a robust coffee!).

Then I added a heaping Tablespoon of REAL shaved chocolate pieces to give each cup a mocha flavor. (I’ll add more next time!)

Then I added 2 Tablespoons of Peppermint syrup to my coffee and 2 Tablespoons of Salted Caramel syrup to my husband’s coffee. There’s no need to add sugar because the syrups are sweetened!

I did add Half & Half to the cofffees. Then I topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

And the final touch: red sparkles on my whipped cream and Heath Bar Crunch crumbles on hubby’s!

It was a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds! (Let’s not mention how in my excitement to bring these drinks out to my husband, I spilled my cup ALL OVER the couch! I must have issues with couches!).

These drinks were delicous… although I think for the Peppermint I’ll go with a straight hot chocolate next time.
