Easy Campfire Chili Recipe for Camping

This chili comes together with a few canned ingredients for a fast and satisfying camp meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey), precooked
  • 1 can sweet corn kernels
  • 1 can beans, rinsed, drained (Your choice: kidney, pinto, black beans)
  • 1 jar salsa, to your spice preferences
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 T Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Toppings (Optional): shredded cheese, sour cream, chips

Equipment

  • 1 Heavy Pot for Grill or Fire

Method
 

  1. Add all ingredients to the pot.
  2. Stir to mix thoroughly.
  3. Heat through on stove, grill, or fire until bubbly. (If fire, be sure to use a heavy cast iron pot and stir constantly to avoid burning).
  4. Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chips, if desired.
