Make-Ahead Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Easy semi-homemade make-ahead breakfast

Equipment

  • 1 jelly jar

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup oatmeal (rolled, not quick)
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon applesauce (or 1 applesauce cup)

Instructions
 

  • Fill glass jelly jar with all ingredients, in the order listed.
  • Do not stir.
  • Place lid on jar and put in refrigerator overnight.
  • Open, stir, and enjoy!

Notes

For more servings, double, triple, or quadruple the recipe.
I prefer whole milk yogurt or Greek yogurt for a more creamy texture. 
You can substitute maple syrup for the honey. 
If you don't have cinnamon applesauce, just add 1/4 tsp cinnamon to the recipe. 
Try using flavored yogurts instead of the applesauce/cinnamon, but double the yogurt to replace the liquid of the applesauce.
