Make-Ahead Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal
Easy semi-homemade make-ahead breakfast
- 1/4 cup oatmeal (rolled, not quick)
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/4 cup cinnamon applesauce (or 1 applesauce cup)
Fill glass jelly jar with all ingredients, in the order listed.
Do not stir.
Place lid on jar and put in refrigerator overnight.
Open, stir, and enjoy!
For more servings, double, triple, or quadruple the recipe.
I prefer whole milk yogurt or Greek yogurt for a more creamy texture.
You can substitute maple syrup for the honey.
If you don't have cinnamon applesauce, just add 1/4 tsp cinnamon to the recipe.
Try using flavored yogurts instead of the applesauce/cinnamon, but double the yogurt to replace the liquid of the applesauce.
