20 Ways Kids Can #GiveHappy {Free Printable}

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for OshKosh B’gosh. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Ways Kids Can Give

Last night at dinner, my two year old suddenly leaned over, tapped me on the nose several times and said, “Ah WUV you, Ah WUV you!”

Like, he just wanted me to know, you know? Just in case… I didn’t know

And what he didn’t know was he gave me one of my happiest motherhood moments to date – that moment a child spontaneously tells you they love you? It’s heart-bursting joyous!

Ways Kids Can Give

Being a mother constantly teaches me: it doesn’t take much to light a spark of happiness in others. Which has inspired me to look for more ways to give happiness to others, and to involve my children in giving: picking up for their brother, sharing a treat, writing a card, donating.

My oldest boy and I sat down one afternoon and created a list of twenty ways kids can give happiness to others – ways they can #GIVEHAPPY  both during the holidays and year round. The minute I hear the word “giving,” I automatically think of that children’s picture book, The Giving Tree. So, to build excitement for our weeks of giving, I created mini ornaments with our giving ideas on them. These are easy to make with a printer and paper punches – add a paper clip “hook.” If you’d like to use these Giving Ornaments in your home, I’ve created a free printable to save you time! (Click the picture below to access the printable!)Ways Kids Can Give Some of the tasks on our list will take some planning and time (like magazine drives, etc), and others are ongoing (like sponsoring a child) so we are thinking to complete one #GiveHappy task per a week. We’ll be starting our giving this week by dropping off our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!

The boys got outside in their new winter clothing from OshKosh B’gosh to decorate their #GIVEHAPPY  Tree with candy canes and #GIVEHAPPY  Ornaments (it was chilly, but their overalls are fleece lined for extra warmth!).

I just love these OshKosh B’gosh outfits – I got them for our tree cutting adventure coming up after Thanksgiving. Trekking through a tree farm in New England can be chilly business (one of our giving ornaments is to Give a Tree, so we might be out there extra long!). I love the wintery striped holiday tops and Fair Isle sweaters for boys this winter – they make me think of candy canes and snowflakes! (Which need to be accompanied by hot chocolate, of course!). Winter clothes for boysWays Kids Can Give

I hope you enjoy the free printable #GIVEHAPPY  ornaments! And here’s something else I’d like to give you:

Perfect timing right!? Is that #GIVEHAPPY worthy or what? And the winter clothes for boys and girls are so adorable this year!
