How are we all doing on our New Year’s Goals and Resolutions?
I know I have done pretty good so far – not perfect. But good enough. Healthy meals have been made. Closets cleaned. Laundry done. Still have not exercised!!!
I’m using the Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery disc bound notebooks to stay on top of this new year! And so far, here are five ways I’m using the notebook to help:
Consolidate Information – The notebook inserts give you templates for listing important yearly events, personal and medical information, and lists major holidays for the next five years! Very handy to have everything in one spot. I also use some of the notes pages to write down the clothing sizes of my family members for shopping!
Set Goals – The Calendar Inserts (sold separately) for the disc bound notebooks have both a month-at-a glance page and then a page for each week. I set down monthly goals on the first page, and then weekly tasks to nudge me towards meeting these goals!
Plan ahead – Don’t just pencil it in! The Calendar inserts contain bonus content, like pre-printed suggestions each month for home organizational tasks and tips. Reminders to update your address book (handy since you just got everybody’s Christmas cards!), and creating a reading list for the year! You can “make a date” with some of your own once-a-year chores to ensure they get done! I know I need to write down my exercise times if I’m going to ever make it happen!
Keep ONE list – I generally have several lists going around the house, in my purse, on my computer. I need to whittle this down to ONE major place I keep my “to do” list. I’m using the journal inserts and the tabbed dividers to create a ToDo list and Menu Planner right in the notebook! For breaking down my day, leaving hubby a “honey-do” list or other notes, I have the Tear-Away notepad on the counter – I can add one sheet into the notebook easily for the day, then toss when I’m done!
Make it fun! The stylish and fresh aqua cover of my notebook makes it fun to keep with me, so I stay on top of my schedule. I added a few colorful pens next to my notebook to make adding entries and planning our lives more exciting and entertaining. It also helps to color code different kinds of appointments and tasks!
It’s a new year and I want to stay organized to keep on top of my goals! For me, that means lots of lists and organizational tools like the Martha Stewart Home Office disc bound notebooks.
What does staying organized mean for you? How are you doing with your New Year’s Resolutions?
