The baby gear can pile up. From swings to high chairs, activity centers and playmats. Then you have to get around with the baby (and other kids!).
Staying active outdoors can require a lot of gear. Take our recent camping trip. With two kids, we wanted to stroll around the town, bike through the marsh trails, and I wanted to squeeze a jog in as well (that never happened but that’s another story!).
But who has room in one minivan for a stroller, jogger, and bike trailer? (Not to mention the cost of all three!).
Luckily, we saved room in the car with our Joovy CocoonX2 which we received compliments of Joovy just in time for our trip. A double stroller, the CocoonX2 has a three-in-one design to use it as a regular stroller, jogging stroller, or bike trailer. (Jogging wheel and bike trailer attachment sold separately).
As a double stroller, the kids sit side by side, buckled with a shoulder strap harness. They are fully enclosed by clear rain shields on the top and sides, and a zip up bug netting on the front. A rain fly rolls down to cover the front if needed.
Our kids enjoyed riding on the supportive bench seat (as opposed to a hammock / sling-like seat I have seen on other bike trailers). There are two side pockets for holding drinks and snacks, which came in so handy on our long marsh trail bike ride!
Behind the seating is a storage space that is generously sized, although be careful not to stow more than five pounds here.
Converting the stroller from walk to run to bike is fairly easy! The two wheels on the front are removable to attach either the jogging wheel or bike attachment. I did find the front wheels will shake if you go into a brisk jog, so definitely get the jogging wheel if you plan to do any sort of running with this stroller.
The jogging wheel is a fixed center wheel to give stability while moving at faster jogging / running speeds.
If you want to bike with the CocoonX2, simply detach the wheels and attach the bike attachment with a pin and safety strap. Pedal away! (You should put bike helmets on the kids at this point, like the Joovy Noodle!).
Traveling with the CocoonX2 made our camping trip a little easier. Instead of packing three strollers (or doing without), we packed one and had all the options for transporting the kids!
The CocoonX2 double jogging stroller retails for $549, and is also sold in a single Cocoon version. The jogging wheel and bike attachment are each sold for $69.99. For such a sturdy piece of equipment that eliminates the need for multiple strollers, to me, this is worth the expense! Especially if you are an active, traveling family!
As with all Joovy products I have tried and tested, the CocoonX2 holds up as high quality product with many features and add-ons available. Check out the other Joovy products I love: Joovy Loo potty chair, Joovy Moon Room, Joovy BabaSling, Joovy Tricycoo, and Joovy Noodle helmet.
Thanks to Joovy for once again allowing me to share their great products for babies and kids on my blog! All opinions are 100% my own.

While I think these things are one of the coolest inventions I have to say we almost never use ours. It takes up room in our garage. My mom asked the other day how come we don't do more family bike rides? Um, I don't know!
