The first time I put our son in the umbrella stroller I’d had on my baby registry, his body sagged terribly, unsupported in the sling-like seat. He looked so incredibly uncomfortable, and I ended up rarely using the stroller as a result. So, when Kolcraft sent me their Kolcraft Cloud umbrella stroller, I was curious whether I could go from my giant double stroller to this lightweight umbrella stroller! Good news, this Kolcraft stroller review says: YES, I can!
Kolcraft Cloud Stroller – lightweight umbrella stroller
We’ve had many stroller systems, and lightweight strollers, but the Kolcraft Cloud is the first umbrella stroller we’ve tried since I retired the old one!
Like most umbrella strollers, the Cloud is slender and lightweight, with several features I’ve never seen on a smaller stroller of this type.
Features of the Kolcraft Cloud Stroller
My personal favorite is the cup holder (read: COFFEE!) – Definitely a plus for me!
The extended canopy goes down much farther than I expected, providing great coverage. Although it was easy for my toddler to pull on and play with, so I’ll have to teach him hands off that one!
Here’s an new one for me though – the seat pad? It rolls up! Now why would you want that, you ask? Well, as much as we might doubt it, hot weather IS just months away. The roll up seat pad on the Cloud stroller reveals a mesh back that allows airflow on hot days, so your little ones will not get hot and sweaty while you’re out and about! Kinda genius!
Front wheels have shock absorbers, so the stroller rolls smoothly for baby, unlike other umbrella strollers I’ve used before.
The Kolcraft Cloud stroller holds children up to 40 pounds yet itself only weighs 10 pounds!
It’s easy to fold, yet comfortable for baby, and with a few perks too (a small storage compartment underneath is handy).
Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller – Great for Travel!
All the added features give the Kolcraft Cloud Stroller versatility, without adding to the weight. This makes the Kolcraft Cloud Stroller a handy stroller to take traveling! We’ve enjoyed having this stroller on many trips and outings with our growing son!
