Now that baby is OUT, I’m getting anxious to get my belly to go back IN! At this point, I still don’t have the energy (or time) to do much real exercise other than some stomach-sucking in and running around after a toddler.
But I have a little secret. Wink, wink!
No, I mean, WINK – as in Wink Shapewear! A few months ago, I told you about the Wink Ultimate Belly & Hip Shaper and Wink Booty Shaper Shorts – slimming undergarments made from medical grade material to compress you back into shape.
Since I’ve had the chance to wear my Wink compression undergarments, here’s my thoughts:
I love Wink Shapewear! Especially the Wink Booty Shaper Shorts! The material is lightweight and comfortable – although the compression is very strong, so I have to do what I call the “wiggle dance” to get them on! The fabric is breathable too, so I don’t feel hot or itchy wearing them. And so smooth, they don’t leave lines under your clothing!
There is no adjusting, you just wear the shorts, and you’re compressed from waist to mid-thigh. For this reason, I prefer the Shorts to the Shaper, because you get a greater area of coverage. Especially since I gained in the hip/thigh area this pregnancy, I need the shorts part! What isn’t evident in the website photos or description is there is a “cut out” area in the underside of the shorts. This surprised me, but I found it adds to the comfort of the shorts – you don’t get that stretchy-pully feeling between your legs like with a pair of hosiery. Plus, when you’re recovering in that area, it is helpful to NOT have compression there!
But here’s the question you’re all asking: Do the Booty Shaper Shorts really work? Well, I think so! I measured my waist with and without the Booty Shaper Shorts on, and WITH the shorts I was TWO INCHES slimmer around! But you be the judge (I took the pictures in the mirror, but I tried my best to show you the difference):
So… I’ll be wearing my Wink Shapewear anytime I need to fit into some pre-pregnancy clothing… not only does it help my clothes fit better, but clothing FEELS better when it fits better!
Have you used compression or shapewear clothing to help you recovery from pregnancy or surgery? Tell me about your experiences!

Woo woo look at that skinny butt! 😉 You’re beautiful, Julie. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’ve never used them after delivering (dd #1 was a c-section so no way was I going to be wiggling into one and dd #2 well I didn’t really care how I looked for a long time after losing her) but I have used/use them now. In fact I was just asked today by not only my mom but her BFF if I was pregnant so 3.5 years later and I still look pg in some of my clothes hence the need for wearing them! LOL
Looks like a great quick fix
