I was loving life when I received my package from Charlie’s Soap for You. This was like a full-scale test drive, moms. Not only did I test Charlie’s Soap liquid detergent and powder detergent, but also I tried their all-purpose cleaner. It was a veritable science lab in my basement!
Charlie’s Soap Laundry Powder comes in a sturdy canister – not a plastic bag that will rip or fall over while you’re trying to scoop out some powder. And they provide a sized measuring scoop! The powder is basically a concentrated form of the liquid, which is why you only need 1 Tablespoon. I accidentally forgot to put a scoop in my pre-wash the first time I did the laundry (oh those experimental variables), but my diapers were clean-smelling (that is, they smelled like NOTHING) when I pulled them out.
Charlie’s Soap Liquid has a faintly sweet smell, but by the time your laundry is done – nothing but clean! I’ve been using the liquid and the powder formulas interchangeably on all my laundry, not just cloth diapers. It’s been a refreshing switch-up in my laundry routine and works wonderfully!
One cool thing about the liquid is it removes “entrapped” odors, like those stuck in athletic wear – you know how workout clothes smell great after they are washed because of all the perfumes in detergents, but then when you wear them they start to stink right away? That’s because the odors are “entrapped” and your body heat releases them. So you need to get those odors OUT, not just cover them up with perfumed detergents.
And I am loving the All-Purpose Cleaner – I have been looking for something non-toxic to clean the tile in my bathtub as everything I tried still left a film on the tile. After spraying the tile with full-strength Charlie’s Soap All-Purpose Cleaner and letting it sit, I easily wiped down the tub. It felt smooth and clean. Love it! After all, if Charlie’s Soap can remove pitch and tar from machines, my tub is probably a piece of cake – actually, I can’t wait until summer, because I alway get tar on my car – I am going to try Charlie’s Soap on that mess!
