I am convinced there is NOTHING cuter than newborn cloth diapers. Itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny little fluff bits to gently cover baby’s bum with love.
Sweetbottoms Baby Boutique sent me the most adorable little baby fluff to review – Clover Newborn Organic Cotton diapers!
Frankly, I’m not sure why I hadn’t heard much about these diapers before, as they are extremely well made and work fabulously! If my son wasn’t gaining weight so fast, I’d get a set of Clover fitteds with newborn covers to add to my newborn stash… maybe next time (wink!)!
These sweet Clover diapers are handmade in North Carolina from US milled organic cotton fleece. The fleece is so soft and thick, you can imagine how comfy this must feel for a newborn’s sensitive skin!
The waist and legs have natural rubber elastic, to protect newborns from potential latex reactions.
The diaper snaps in front, and there’s even a snap-down front center for the umbilical cord. My baby’s cord stump fell off by the time we got this diaper, but this could be really useful for that first week or so!
What impresses me most are the four layers in this tiny diaper.
- outer organic cotton velour
- inner full-length organic french terry
- inner organic cotton velour
- lay-in soaker pad of organic knit terry on one side and organic velour on the other
A bonus feature of the inner layer is the access slot to make repairs or adjust the button-hole elastics to fit the diaper to your baby.
As if these diapers weren’t sweet enough already, they come with your choice of lilac, brown, orange, or lime green stitching!
Clover Newborn diapers fit babies 5 to 12 pounds, and I’ll be sad when my son grows out of his Clover! I found the fit to be absolutely perfect for a newborn – the diaper seemed small (my husband thought he shrunk one of our other diapers!). But it was a perfect fit for a newborn. The elastics and highly absorbent cotton fleece contained the moisture as well as the watery breastfeeding poo!
