Kiddo Tags Custom Name Labels Review

There’s a running joke in our family I inadvertently started. Five years ago when I was about to get married, for Christmas my sister put in my stocking a little magnetic metal card holder that said, “Julie’s Kitchen.” Of course, when I got married the following June and moved into the house my husband owned, I stuck that magnet right on the fridge. A friend or relative saw it and commented to my husband, “Gee, the kitchen’s already been claimed. Where’s your space?” Okay, so maybe I’m territorial. I’m Italian. Italian women like to stake claim to the kitchen. The magnet is still on the fridge by the way.So, it’s funny that after having a baby I had to be asked, reminded, begged to label the diaper bag (when I put our 7-month old in the nursery). Maybe I just trust people not to steal my baby’s things? Maybe I figure people will remember which bag is his? But I kept forgetting every week. So I would end up writing his name on an ugly strip of masking tape across his bag. Slightly sticky, grubby, peeling-off masking tape is not attractive. Which is what motivated me. I had to label my baby’s bag in a bit more classy style!Kiddo Tags Custom Name Labels came to my rescue! I needed to get territorial on all my baby’s gear! Can’t be losing items given by loving family and friends, or that we spent good money on! First, I had to design my tags – what fun! I loved picking the background color (my favorite lime green), the character (owls, of course), and the font and color! So in the end, my tags look like this: (NOT my son’s real name).
Super cute, right!? But there are so many other options!! If your child has a favorite color or likes trucks, animals, hearts, flowers, sports… you can create beautiful tags that will bring a smile to your kid’s face. I also liked how Kiddo Tags has allergy icons to remind caregivers your child should not have nuts, wheat, dairy, etc. These tags would be very helpful when labeling lunchboxes and book bags!

Once my tags came in, I got busy sticking them to everything I could find that might possibly leave the house!

And I have plenty more tags to go for when he gets Christmas presents, birthday presents… this pack of labels will last a long time (they are so fun to make, I want to design more! I guess I’ll have to have another baby!). Pretty soon, my baby will get to the age where losing a toy become a tragedy – I’ll feel good knowing his toys are labeled with a Kiddo Tag, so if he leaves it somewhere, it will surely be returned!

Kiddo Tags can be used for so many items: toys, bottles, cups, pacifiers; if you want to tag your kid’s clothing, get the iron-on tags (oh, yeah, I want these!) These tags are high quality, dishwasher and microwave safe, waterproof, weather-proof (UV-Resistant) and scuff-proof. Yeah, did I say I was territorial! 🙂 Keep your mitts off my stuff! And my kid’s stuff! Just kidding!

About the Company:
I know you’re going to love it when I tell you Kiddo Tags was created by a stay-at-home mom. Gabby noticed a problem – moms like me were constantly writing their kid’s names on little bits of tape and peel-off labels, or even (gasp) ON THE ITEM to ensure items didn’t get confused at school, daycare, etc. Who wants to damage expensive toys and baby gear with Sharpie marker or labels that leave sticky residue!? After extensive research and testing, Gabby decided to make labels herself – and so Kiddo Tags was born. Kiddo Tags is one of the FEW companies that makes name labels in America.
