Clatter! (Bend) Bang! (Reach) Rattle! (Stretch) Crash! (Stoop).
At the rate my son likes to unassumingly drop toys over the side of his high chair… well, no wonder I lost most of my pregnancy weight so fast. I am constantly scrabbling under chairs, doing back bends behind the table, and toe-touches to get at the toys he heaves overboard.
Do you hear me heaving another sigh as his Sophie giraffe bites the dust for the tenth time in two minutes? And get this – he doesn’t yet realize what he’s DOING – can you imagine when he understands that those wonderful noises he laughs at are actually caused by him dropping a toy!? Yikes. I’m in trouble!
Look – do you see him throwing his Sophie!? |
Now that’s more like it! |
Now, I can attach my 7-month-old’s toys to one end of the strap, and the other around his wrist or his chair, and he won’t constantly lose his toys. It works on the car seat, stroller, baby carrier, too. The Simply On Board Toy Strap helps give mothers a free hand when you’re already trying to carry the baby, diaper bag, perhaps hold onto another child… running around after stray toys isn’t what we need! And the strap works for teethers, like the Ringley or Sophie, sippy cups, stainless steel bottles.
Baby really likes his Pippalily Toy Strap! Yum! |
I’m not knocking those plastic rings because I use them too, but my baby often knocks them apart with his vigorous shaking. The Velcro strap attachment stays put, despite his best efforts (oh, and he tries!). And, the cloth strap is quiet – no rattling noises if you’re in, say, church! Plus, if you have a somewhat odd shaped item, a round ring doesn’t quite do the trick.
