He’ll be one year old next week. I just can’t think about how fast this year has gone!
But I have thought a LOT about is his upcoming birthday party. Even though we keep it small with just family, I like to go all out with my themes.
This year’s theme? Peter Rabbit in Mr. McGregor’s Garden! It’s summer, our gardens are in full bloom, and I’ve never gotten to throw a birthday party in warm weather yet so I’m thrilled!
For the party, I went shopping for a special outfit for my son at Janie and Jack, courtesy of a complimentary gift card they’d sent.
The minute I walked in the door, I literally got teary-eyed thinking about the significance of this shopping trip. My second baby – already one! Where did the time go?
Lucky me, Janie and Jack is having their amazing Semi-Annual sale right now (you should check it out!). Countless styles are on sale right now, so you could pick up new summer outfits for any occasion (but their special occasion suits are so adorable – perfect if your kids are in summer weddings!).
I would ordinarily find this store a bit too pricey for our family budget but with the sales, I found it more reasonable. In fact, so reasonable, I got an outfit for baby and a coordinating one for big brother with my gift card and only had to pay a little bit over!
For our garden themed party, I selected cool and casual striped roll-up pants with a green rolled-sleeve shirt for the baby. And I couldn’t resist a plaid cap for his sweet little bald noggin!
To coordinate with his little brother, our oldest son will wear plaid linen shorts (same print as the cap) with a summery salmon colored linen shirt.
Seriously, all these boys need is some wingtips… but it’s summer so barefoot in the grass they will go!
Janie and Jack offers adorable coordinating outfits for babies and kids in prints, fabrics, and styles that are classic and endearing. Plus, in my experience, the clothing wears well, is generously sized, and retains its value for hand-me-downs or consignment! (If I ever have a girl, I’ll want probably every outfit in here!).
The Janie and Jack Semi-Annual Sale runs until early August so you have plenty of time to stop in and find some adorable deals!
What do you think of this sneak peek into my party planning? (And will you be checking out the sales at JanieandJack.com?)
Thanks to Janie and Jack for sending a promotional item to facilitate this post! All opinions are 100% my own.
