Going from never using wool to being a big fan of wool was a surprise for me. I had tried several wool shorties and longies. But I only had one wool cover that functioned just like my other diaper covers.
Then I tried out the Babee Greens wool cover! This is definitely a good “first” wool cover for those nervous to start out in wool!
Babee Greens Natural Wool Cover is a side-snapping cover made of wool. Just like other wool covers, it offers all-natural fibers to keep your baby dry while preventing leaks and odor. But unlike longies/shorties, the Babee Greens wool cover is more like a regular diaper cover/shell. This makes it easy for other caregivers who may not be used to wool covers.
The side snaps make this cover very easy to use (there are several sizing options). I like the slim profile it creates because the diaper and cover aren’t squeezing towards the middle.
Another awesome feature is that this cover is one of the lightest wool covers I’ve used. The two layers of Oeko Tex 100 certified Merino Wool are thin, so you’d think that might be a problem, but I didn’t have any dampness coming through. Since I really like to use my wool at night when I “overstuff” I could really appreciate the slim line effect.
And, if you’re still concerned about wool in the summertime, I can say the lightness of this diaper cover make it a perfect choice for wool diapering in the summer. My Babee Greens Wool Cover has become one of my favorites in wool diapering!
You’ll be happy to know all the diapers and diaper related products at Babee Greens are manufactured in the USA!
Babee Greens uses only the highest quality, eco-friendly fibers, including 100% certified organic cotton, organic cotton/hemp blends, hypoallergenic, non-PVC poly resin snaps, and 100% unbleached cotton thread and elastic.
If you’re looking to get started in wool diapering, Babee Greens has everything from diaper covers, to fitteds (which I keep hearing are A-Mazing!), and wool care!
