Wow. In four weeks we'll be celebrating his first birthday.
I'm still trying to take that all in.
Our baby turned 11 months old a few days ago - the post is late because Mr. Won't Sit Still gave me a hard time about his Sticky Bellies shots! I finally got a few.
Turns out eleven months is a big deal for him. On Sunday he crawled on hands and knees (but he still prefers the army crawl and does that most of the time). On Monday he pulled to standing. On Tuesday I spotted the white indicators of two top teeth coming through. Phew. Busy week for the baby!
He's certainly become more self-aware the past month. He "talks" whole sentences and paragraphs in a known-only-to-him language that is quite hilarious to listen to. Hand gestures and all like he's addressing the Roman senate.
He can say the sounds Da-da and Ma-ma. I don't think he is using them intentionally at this point.
We love watching him laugh, clap, wave, point his finger in the air. The latest trick is taking his food and putting it on top of his head. Oh yes, he thinks he's a real charmer then!
Also, he's realized that sometimes we leave him so he can nap. Uh oh. He's not too thrilled about this. However, after 1-2 squawks of protest, he lays down and falls asleep. I am amazed he's such a great self-soother, because that was not my previous experience!
Our days are now spent making extra sure the house is uber baby-proofed, and helping him down when he over-achieves with pulling himself up to standing but can't figure out how to get down!
He adores his big brother, who makes him laugh and laugh at every chance. Too bad our baby grew so fast because big brother always wants to hold him, but the truth is the baby is just too big now.
Nor does baby want his photo taken.... as you will see in this months pictures! Ha!! Here we go: Eleven months of joy!
"Mom, that's enough pictures for one day!"
Anybody want to tell me the secret to getting great baby photos at this age!?

Oh my gosh! That last picture is HILARIOUS!! Haha 😀 And really, I have no recommendations...Natalie is easy to take pictures of, most of the time, and when she's being uncooperative, I just have to tickle her or shake something noisy right near the camera. Snap quick and take LOTS of pics.. 🙂 Happy 11-month Bday, little man!

He is getting a very distinct look different from his brother.
The secret to getting good photos at this age is to take a lot and stick with candids rather than posed. We never have success with posed.
I so love that blanket. I looked into getting hubby one for Father's day but just could not do the $150 price tag. Good perk for your review. It's going to good use not just for you but for the boys.
