So, as fans of those yummy crunchy Earth’s Best Snax, we’ve been building quite the collection of tall cans. I save them for storage and crafts, but today we found another use for them!
BOWLING PINS!
So… once the crunchy fun is done, really, the fun has just started! I love finding new ways to use things so I don’t have to just throw them away!
Our toddler loved rolling a soft ball down the hallway to knock over the “pins.” The game also kept him occupied because he would set up the pins himself – it was so cute!
You can add some coins or small items to the cans to “weight” them if they are too easy for older kids to knock them down, but for my son the empty can was enough as he doesn’t throw the ball very hard. This kind of easy bowling game builds hand-eye coordination and helps children with their gross motor skills, too – so lots of learning happening!
Any other fun games you do to upcycled containers? (Check out Upcycled Container Use 1, and Upcycled Container Use 3!)
