Dealing With Baby Illness: Crane Humidifier Review

Hear that sound? No? That because there’s hardly any… which is a relief for this mama who has listened to her baby coughing for the past four days. The dreaded first illness has hit. It was preceeded by a week or so of teething – FOUR teeth! My baby got so congested from the process. And now he’s trying to work it all out.

I could give some over-the-counter medication, but, he is acting fine, not like he is sick at all, so I am going to favor comfort measures instead. Of course, one item I have turned to is my Crane Humidifier!

I received their newest design – the Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier. We are running it downstairs during the day to keep the air moist as baby plays. We also run one upstairs at night.

The best feature on this humidifier is that it does not need a filter (although demineralization filters are available). One thing I hated about our former humidifier was the filter ALWAYS had to be changed after each major use. And I could never FIND filters. Talk about frustrating – when you are not feeling well having to run around trying to find a filter so you can get some relief!

My second favorite feature is the great directional spout – you can rotate it 360 degrees to point in the direction you want the mist to flow. And the mist knob goes from barely there to full blast. Well, not that “blast” is probably the right word but… some serious misting happening. See:

  • Comes in 5 colors (love my favorite spring green!).
  • Is super quiet (like, really, can’t hear it).
  • Auto-shuts off when empty.

And I just like the mod design. Don’t you? You’re gonna want one of these to keep everyone comfortable during dry winter months, trust me!

Crane makes animal shaped humidifiers too!

Crane’s animal shaped humidifiers are adorable and just as effective! Giving a Crane humidifier as a baby shower gift idea is always a good move!

Check out my blog post on helping babies sleep better at night. Also, see my YouTube review of the Crane Frog Humdifier:

Buy it: You can get your own Crane Humidifier (or one of their cute animal shapes!) at their online store or many retailers like Amazon, Target & Babies’RUs ($49.99 ARV).
