Last week I shared my tips for creating a back-to-school wardrobe for boys. Be sure to read those tips before you get started shopping!
I’m sure most parents want to get the maximum usage from the clothes they buy this school year, so it’s important to select the right pieces that can mix and match for a variety of outfits. (I know the kids will try to work their persuasive magic to get fifty graphic tees of their favorite characters, but resist, Moms, resist!).
Here’s a boy’s back to school wardrobe in just 20 pieces!
Yes, you could certainly add more to this collection. Like a belt. Or a hat. And certainly a warm outer jacket for those of us living in the northern realm. But overall, this wardrobe can create a variety of looks to get your child through two weeks of school without wearing the same outfit twice! (Individual pieces will be repeated).
I purchased this entire boy’s back to school wardrobe at Kohl’s for under $250 (I also purchased jeans, which I didn’t show because some schools don’t allow them. I spent an additional $50 on a back pack and back to school supplies from Office Max – now available right inside Kohl’s stores!).
I can’t promise you your laundry pile will actually shrink but… hopefully the cost of your kids’ back to school shopping will!
Do you coordinate your child’s seasonal wardrobes in any way?
WIN IT: Give your back to school shopping a boost with this Kohl’s $100 Gift Card Giveaway! I’m making it a short one because I know the winner will want to go shopping soon as school is just a few weeks away! Enter in the form below:

I just learned about the capsule wardrobe and the stylebook app. I will certainly apply this for my 12 year old son. I think he will enjoy it, especially with less laundry for him to do... :-)
