It all started when I was fifteen. I got my first job at a local chocolatier. My manager said I ate more chocolate than anybody who’d ever worked for her. I’m pretty sure that title is still mine. I remember creating gift baskets and tins for customers and thinking, Wow this person is going to be so thrilled! Giving chocolate is always a great idea, whether it’s for someone you don’t know well, or for that foodie friend you know has a particular taste for… milk chocolate pecan turtles, perhaps (that’d be me!).
