Educational Insights Hot Dots Jr.

I’m excited to share with you this month’s review and giveaway from Educational Insights.

This month, I received a couple sets of the Hot Dots Jr. cards for my son – Numbers and Counting and Beginning Problem Solving. Both come in their own sturdy, carrying box making them easy to store, and there’s space inside the box to carry the Talking, Teaching pen as well!

Hot Dots Jr. cards work with the talking Hot Dots Jr. pen, featuring “Ace” – the talking, teaching dog. The electronic pen encourages children when they choose the right answer, and prompts them to try again if they choose the incorrect answer.

We’ve reviewed some other Hot Dots Jr. products in the past, but I was excited because THIS time, my son is actually old enough to start using them. Even at two-and-a-half, with my guidance he could count how many items were pictured, and then select the correct number on the bottom. I’m so excited he already recognizes most of his numbers 1-10 in print!

The Beginning Problem Solving cards encourage critical thinking, such as matching the whole with the part, and categorizing objects.
