Products I Heart for Parents

After years of product reviewing, I’m often asked what are the best / favorite products for parents. The answer changes depending on the category (are we talking coffee and chocolate, or what?). But for the best baby gear that parents will love, I have a short list.

My top ten list called for tough choices! Many fun and sweet products didn’t make it to this list but are perfect for other gifting reasons. The items I picked have held up to daily/near-daily usage, and are loved and used consistently in our family. (Click the links to read my past review on each item or access a shopping link!).

My Favorite Products for Parents

1. ErgoBaby Performance baby carrier – When I had given up hope of being able to babywear comfortably… along came an Ergobaby… and all the accessories to love along with it!

2. Plush minky stroller blanket – Minky blankets are deliciously soft – even after years of washing and using. A plush blanket gets near daily use as a playmat, snuggle buddy, car seat cover, and backdrop for baby’s monthly photos! (I loved Kiki blankets, handmade on Etsy, but sadly this brand went out of business).

3. Joovy Loo – Surprised a potty is on the list? I still love the modern simple look and perfect functionality of this potty chair!

4. Baby Brezza – Although this time around I am trying some “baby led weaning,” I still love to make purees for both kids. Fresh applesauce is delicious! And don’t forget the exciting time my recipes were featured in the Baby Brezza Cookbook!

5. A stylish diaper bag – A mom’s constant companion is her diaper bag. Pick one that suits your lifestyle, whether that’s backpack or tote style. I loved bags that looked stylish instead of “baby” themed. Several brands I used have gone out of business, but there are a lot of great options around.

6. Putumayo Kids Dreamland Music CDs – Beautiful music from a range of cultures to soothe babies to sleep. (My older kids STILL listen to these CDs!)

7. The Learning Tower – I honestly doubt a single day goes by we don’t find our toddler in this tower, on it, under it. Good thing it can hold two kids because our little baby will be vying for a spot before we know it!

8. Glowing portable night light – I am in love with these cute glowing animals. They are simple and sweet. Every kid should have one to comfort them at night! (Our son sleeps with his!).

9. Tiny Love Playmat – A new addition to our baby gear, this playmat gets use morning, noon, and night as the perfect spot to park the baby while I am potty training our older son! And both boys love it!

10. Britax stroller – I did a lot of research before getting our first stroller (taking back about three strollers in the process!). I can’t believe I didn’t know how great the Britax stroller systems were “way back when” we started out!

Of course, we have sampled many fine foods, cloth diapers, and fashion items… But it was interesting to see my favorite items centered around quality baby gear. Because after all, that’s why I started reviewing: to help parents find great baby items for their adventures!

I would recommend new and expecting parents add these items to your registry list! They make fabulous gifts to give and receive!!
