“Music On!” my toddler always commands when we get ready to go to bed. He knows listening to his lullabyes is a part of our bedtime routine!
A great birthday gift to give a child is a wonderful CD – maybe one with fun songs for the car, or a storytime CD, or even a bedtime CD. I adore lullabye CDs!
The newest one we’re enjoying is Instrumental Dreamland by Putumayo Kids. A soothing collection of melodic, instrumental tunes for bedtime and relaxation.
With American favorites like “Twinkle, Twinkle” and “What a Wonderful World” mingled with world music lullabyes from Mali, Japan, and Brazil, this collection is light and delicate – wonderful for soothing your child off to sleep! I love hearing my favorite lullabyes, but it’s been nice to listen to new sounds as I read to and rock my toddler before bedtime!
Instrumental Dreamland is one of a large selection of musical collections by Putumayo Kids – the children’s and educational division of Putumayo World Music. Putumayo Kids is committed to introducing children to other cultures through music from around the world. Their CDs make for great teacher resources as well.
